Spring Cleaning

I have been procrastinating for a couple of weeks with Spring Cleaning that I really have needed to do around the house. Today I finally ran out of excuses and places I needed to go so I dug in and started my spring cleaning. Does anyone else hate cleaning the oven as much as I do? The stinky cleaner. The grease and grime. It's terrible. I also cleaned out my refridgerator today. Yes, I survived. We could of lived for a week on the taco meat left in the fridge. I don't know why I always make so much. I even cleaned blinds. Even though the process of spring cleaning is comparable to getting a tooth pulled, I always feel so good when it's over and for one day or realistically a few hours my house is clean.
Maybe in a few weeks, when I have run out of new excuses you might see my in the yard doing more spring clean up. I said maybe. At least spring is finally around the corner. Yeah!!!! I was wondering what others on the forum do for spring cleaning or do they keep up on it better than I do. Do you wait for spring to do the extra fun chores around the house?

Have you heard of the flylady? flylady.com? She helps you set up routines that avoid the spring cleaning process. You do it room by room so that you don't have to do it all at once and the house stays pretty clean most of the time. I've adapted it for me and my family, but it works fairly well...if you make it work.

Way to go!!! I started my spring cleaning last week and I have learned from experience in past years and from a family friend in Erda...one room at a time. I usually deep clean one room a week and then move on...Hence, the reason my kitchen looked much cleaner than normal at the lettering party last week. I hate doing it, but it feels so good and I love the "clean" feeling when it's all done.Posted 03-15-2007 at 02:04 PM by trishcook
