If your involved in something that just doesn’t feel right and you let circumstances prevent you from doing what is right, you lack faith. God is telling you something, and you are not listening. The longer we wait to do what is right the harder it is. We get tangled in a web of our own circumstances. The web is created by allowing circumstances to influence us, by doing that we’re trying to control our destiny. Over time the web becomes tighter and we may have the illusion we’re in control. We could live our whole life that way, but we will never see what God has in store for us.

Sometimes breaking free requires so much emotional and physical strength it just seems impossible. BUT if there is an opportunity to break free it has to be done with faith! Its not even possible to break completely free with out faith. We have to believe God has plans for us out side that tangled up web.

The circumstances that tie this web come in many forms. We may feel, “My husband wouldn’t support that”, “I would loose my job”, “my roommate would kick me out”, “the truth would hurt someone’s feelings” or “my friend would be mad at me”. You may feel there is too much to loose and nothing to gain. I’m not saying God wants us to hurt people or loose the things we need. Unfortunately, there are times good people suffer for making the right choices.

Allowing God to control our destiny is ALWAYS a gain. If making the right choice causes suffering, God knows this, and we have to have faith that He is in control. God knows how tight your web of circumstances is. You can bet He is keeping score but He can only be in charge of your density if you exercise faith.

We have to know when God is in control great things happen; He knows exactly what He is doing. Gods plan for us is far greater than what we could ever imagine. Remember any suffering we endure for making the right choice will never be as bad as what would come from continuously denying faith in God.

I never said its easy, but good things don't come easy

*EDIT*
I wrote this because there are people I know who have hard time doing the right thing. There is an area in my life that is a complete mess because I refuse to take part in wrong doings. All the while in other areas I have been showered with Gods blessings. If I went into detail about how much I would be bragging, so I won’t. I will say that during this time anything I thought about for a second, soon after became reality. To the point I consider my self spoiled rotten, many areas of my life are just too easy.

I don’t know if the blessings are the Grace of God, distractions, or just to balance things out, but I am sure they are from God. I thank Him for watching over me!

It is true that God knows our potential and if we listen to what He's telling us we we will end up happier after the trial of our faith.

I've never heard the analogy of a web being used in conjunction w/ the circumstances we create for ourselves when we have a lack of faith. It makes a lot of sense. Thank goodness for a loving Heavenly Father who knows us better than we know ourselves that helps us (if we're listening) to avoid getting ourselves too tangled up (or as I like to call it - saving us from ourselves.)

It sounds like you have been given an avenue to accomplish great things in this life for the benefit of others and that you are loved very much, mx. How cool is that! And....you even acknowledge it, even better!!! Thank you for sharing this today, it was very inspiring to me!

Thank you, I hope it is clear. I don't know why, but I have such a hard time converting my thoughts into words.

I hope the web analogy makes sense.

It represents the excuses we use and the consequences we fear that keep us from doing what we know is right. Its a false sense of control believing we're preventing bad things from happening. In reality we are just surrounded and trapped.

For me its very important to have a clear conscious.

I think this is what is meant by being caught in a snare - of sorts, and yes, it made sense.

Well said, MX. It is so easy to be fearful of men--caught in a web of excuses--rather than trusting in God. HE loves us and wants to bless us, but we have to put our faith in Him. It's true that doing the right thing is often difficult, but God would not ask anything of us that He woudln't help us accomplish. It sounds like you have been abundantly blessed for your faithfulness, even though it hasn't been easy. Good for you!
