Rededication

I have really had a struggle over the last couple of weeks with a few pounds...they just don't seem to want to go away
So...I decided I needed to rededicate myself to an exercise routine. My mom has worked so hard since her first go around with cancer to get back into shape and now she's at a point were she just watches what she eats, exercises everyday and then once in awhile enjoys a milkshake or another treat. She is such an inspiration!! So my new goal....exercise more consistently and really work towards my goal. I set a specific weight goal and a date....lose 25 pounds by Memorial day. With the weather so nice this week, I was able to get out and walk 2x....
Hopefully, I can really work better at exercising and getting to the point where I can be more like my mom, maintaining a consistent weight and being able to enjoy a great treat without worrying it's going to run a weeks worth of hard work. I also want to be able to run and play with my kids as they grow and learn, I don't want to be one of those women who sits on the sidelines wishing they could play and run with their kids. With any luck, and some good planning I can accomplish my goal and enjoy a fun summer of playing and enjoying all the activities we've got planned!!

Yeah! I am excited for you. My family and I "heard" you walking behind our fence while we were working in the yard tonight. I didn't know it was you until after you passed. So I'll give it to you now. YOU GO GIRL!
By the way your mom is awesome. Sometimes I wish I could go to Wednesday WW meetings just because I know she is there. Maybe I should work on that.Posted 03-12-2007 at 10:17 PM by Dia Minha

I recently heard someone say "we decide once that we aren't going to smoke or drink...how about we all decide ONE TIME that we are going to be active?" That's given me a lot of thought. You have to change your thinking just a bit to thinK, "I'm an active person so I park the farthest I can from the store and jog in" (which I know is just your favorite idea with your little ones!), but changing from the "get in shape" mentality, to the "I'm an active person who does active things" mentality has been a very positive approach for me...so I thought I'd share.
