On TV they have been playing the Anne of Green Gables series! I love watching Anne over and over again. I have all the movies but, I seldom forget I have them. Anne is one of my favorite programs to watch. My daughters love to watch, and laught along with me as we watch the series. My youngest daughter's favorite is when Anne arives to Avenlee. My Oldest daughter's favorite is When she goes to teach at the girls boarding school. My favorite is all of it.

Ok, so ... uhm... We just finished (yes a house full of boys) watching the movie tonight (can't wait for tomorrow), and loved it. I will admit here (but don't repeat it) I loved watching Anne as a kid. She's wonderfully refreshing. Great series. I did not know some of you had the series... we might need to borrow them sometime so we can watch them all again

Also, between Anne and HP, the 5D has been all but "unavailable" if you've been wondering where she's been

I'll let her know, but be assured as soon as HP is done, she'll be back. I hope she goes to sleep tonight. She's nearly done, and we (the house and all of her boys (that includes me)) have been missing her too. Seems like there should be a "help recovering HP readers clean their house club"

Oh dang it, I have an Men's activity tomorrow night too. Gosh I'll have to get back to you on that. I wouldn't leave that key under the mat for too long |

I love the series too. Everytime it comes on I tell my DH I want all the movies on DVD. I just read all the books recently. The first movie follows the first book rather closely. The second has same themes and storyline, yet, it is based on the book loosely. The third movie's storyline is nothing like any of the books. I don't know where they came up with it. I still love them all, all three movies and all eight books. The books follow Anne all the way through raising six kids after loosing her first who was stillborn. Her kids get into just as many scrapes as she does and I loved reading about how gentle and loving she is with each of them. My absolute favorite part of the movies is the last scene of Anne of Avonlee, where she tells Gilbert she doesn't need starburst and marble halls, just him. I know its silly I just melt everytime. Last night I even found myself falling asleep around 9:00 and so I went to bed, to wake up just after 10:00 to catch that very last moment. Of course like many of you I have many more favorite scenes. Dia

My favorite scene of the whole series is when Diana drinks that raspberry cordial (sp?). My son and I laughed and laughed during it.

I LOVE these movies. Where did you buy them? I would love to own them too. What is funny, is that any time I would watch it on tv, I could never watch the last part (probably had to take care of kids or something!). So, I didn't know Anne and Gilbert eventually ended up together until I read all of the books about two years ago (I tried to read the whole series when I was younger but the library was missing several of the books.). It made me so happy to know that it ended well!
