Who's going to be brave enough to shop on Black Friday this year?

What are the kinds of deals you've heard about?

Do you go every year or will this be your first time going?

Do you think there will be better deals this year because of the economy crisis?

Do you think that the stores will extend the specials in order to promote more business?

I'm not sure, because I haven't checked out the deals yet. We have gone shopping on Black Friday one year, because Santa found a really good deal on a game boy.

I do believe the deals will be better because of the economy. My sister-in-law was telling me that her neighbor is finally getting their barn after years of waiting, because it is going to cost half the amount they were originally quoted several years ago. I guess construction companies are in high need of jobs, any job and are cutting some really good deals. I'm sure that retail businesses will do the same. Makes me really excited for February to get here and get to work on our basement.

I believe the stores will have really good deals all season long on non-neccesities, electronics, toys, etc.

I absolutely can't stand crowds! I was traumatized for life going to Black Friday sales with my Mom. (Picture hordes of very large, unshowered women fighting over socks. Not my idea of fun.) My husband usually goes early Friday morning, if he feels there is something we absolutely can't live without. I never go...it's soooo not worth it for me. (But, then, I am a scrooge when it comes to Christmas gifts. DH does most of the holiday shopping for the kids; I think he spoils them.)

I won't go either. Same as NG, I hate crowds and early morning is NOT my time. DH has gone once or twice thought. I'm actually done with most of my shopping and just need to help my kids get done with theirs now and even that is about halfway there. It's SO nice to get it done early!
