Blog Challenge

Ok, since a lot of you are "training" for a marathon or a 5k run etc, or maybe just working out, I'd like to challenge you to log your training routine in your personal blog. So we can all follow along and track/chart your progress. I think it would be really cool down the road to see how you've progressed.

First off to get to your Blog do the following:

Click the link at the top that says "Profile"

Once on the profile page, near the bottom is a link that says "Blog - Big_Sissy" or in your case "Blog - <your username>"

At the end of that line you will see "Add new blog entry"

Click that link and it will take you to your first blog entry.

Some suggestions for a successful blog. Remember these are just suggestions as you can do whatever you want.

• The blog software puts a date for the post, so unless the entry is for a previous date, don't worry about entering dates.
• Tell us what you did that day for your training
• Your thoughts on how well or poor you did that day
• thoughts for improvement
• techniques that you learned that really helped
• challenges you faced and have overcome, or just challenges you are still facing

Anyway, those are just some ideas. I think it would be very cool to read them a year from now to help you remember your path to success. Not to mention, we couch potatoes can live vicariously through you

I hate to commit....cause, well you know me - I'm so dang intense about it.....but I think I'd like to take your challenge. There's a couple of other things I'd like to record in my blog that I'd like to look back on and see some improvement in so this'll be a good way to start. See ya 'round the boards!

Okay, for any of you who are a little non-detail oriented you might want to know that I just had to come back a 2nd time to read the instructions to get my blog started. ....just in case this made any of you feel better. ;D ;D

Okay I must be a dork or something....I went to profile and then to the bottom where it said Imahoot's blog. There wasn't anything that I could see that said to start blog or add blog. Am I crazy?

It's at the bottom of the the "box" on the right side.

Click on profile, and at the very bottom of the center section on the very last line it will say "add blog entry"

Let me know if you don't have that.

You should see it now. I looked at the permissions and it wasn't allowed, so you should see it now, since I've allowed it.

i could be completely computer illiterate...but I don't see profile at the top. I am hoping the new forum moved it and I am not just missing it

Oh, you're not missing it. It's not where it used to be, and actually for the time being it's no where. I still have to install it.
