Book Review Forum

Hey, BS or 5D? I would like to suggest a book review forum. I've had several good books suggested to me lately and would like to read reviews on them from people who have the same values as me. I'd also like to be able to look through titles that people have read and get some good ideas for when I go to the library. There's so much that we miss because we tend to read the same kinds of things and I know there is much that I miss by not being in bookstores ever. Could we have a forum focused in Book reviews? That way the title of the book could be a thread and they'd all be in one organized place. BW's "deceptively delicious" and my "The Tipping Point" threads could go in for starters.

Everyone? Would you be willing to post reviews of the books you read and your thoughts? It'd be fun to get a conversation going when some of us read the same book, even asynchronously, because I'm sure we'll see different things in different books and have different opinions. What do you think?

there is a website called goodreads.com where you can list books you have read and review them as well as what's on your to-read shelf and such. You can invite friends and then it's a community thing. Not to vote against a book review forum here, also, but my sibs and I LOVE goodreads.

I would love it. I often read a really good book and want to share it with someone, but never get around to doing so. Having a place here would be awesome.

I've moved both threads you mentioned to that new forums. I've also outlined some guidelines to help with SEO (that's what helps google and others index us) and to help keep the forum organized.

BW, I still haven't tried out that goodreads website you sent me. Maybe this new forum will be just the thing I need to give me the courage to check out a new website. (Time constraints.)
