You are going to make me cry! I'm feeling unloved today (on account of my kids' friend issues- see 5D's parenting thread- I'm having BAD memories floating around) so this just made my day! I'm so glad you care!!!

I have been lurking around, just not much. This last week we went to Lagoon twice, and that took a lot out of me. We had a BLAST though. We bounced back yesterday and spent the day as a family (most of it, until the family that lives around the corner popped up and our oldest DS's wanted to go with their two boys for a while. My DS #2 confirmed, though, that he had a lot more fun with us as a family than with the brothers from around the corner. That's what I wanted to hear!)

I've also been reading, which takes me away from internet time.

I just finished the first two in a series called "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" by Rick Riordan. The first is "The Lightning Thief" and the second is "The Sea of Monsters". I really liked them, so I've got to see if there are any others in the series. I love the young adult section at the library. There are some great series there- I also loved the "Artemis Fowl" books. And there are others...

I haven't ever read any of her books, Smed. I'll have to check them out. Are they mysteries? I LOVE mysteries.

The library is closing for a few days, so I have a stack I picked out last week, but I'll have to look her up when I go again.

Well, thanks again for looking for me! You are wonderful.

Bookworm, do you remember when you were my visiting teacher and every time you came over we would discover something new about each other that we have in common? Well, I just discovered another one. Just remember that I think you are awesome. I miss you when your gone. There are so many people on this board including me that love you.

You are so sweet, Dia.

I do remember that- I regret we didn't get more time for that. What did you discover here?

I appreciate your kind words. I'm not depressed. In fact, I've got to go make a treat for the Stake Activity tonight (that looks like it might get rained out) and baking always cheers me up, so I'll put those memories away and feel better shortly.

Thank you thank you thank you. I love you all too.

It is one of those things that I can see in my head, but can't quite put into words. I guess it is that I can relate to feeling of being back in high school, because of something someone has said or done. I allow certain people around me to make me feel inadequate. I don't think you put it quite like that, but that is what I saw when I read it. Hope that makes sense.

I'm sure you've read them since you're an avid reader but I love Mary Higgins Clark's books. She's a wonderful murder mystery writer!

BW, sometimes days are just like that. We are forced to remember events that we thought were long forgotten or even worse - we dealt w/ them only to have them surface again through some unforeseen event.

Not that you're asking my opinion but I thought I'd tell you what I think anyway, I think the best thing to do when these times come around (and they do) is to feel them. We can't change the way we're feeling so the best thing we can do for ourselves is honor our feelings and let it pass - which is what you've done.

To the better days!!!!

Amen, sister! It's also nice to recognize that it's a memory now, not a current event!!

These series of books are more romantic and dealling with real life situations. They have made me cry and laught and cry some more. They are really good. Although I LOVE mystery books. They are my favorite!
