Sorry I haven't gotten back to everyone about the camp sites. Darwin and I are going to try and take a ride out to Black Rock Canyon sometime this weekend and check it out to see if there are areas that will accommodate a larger group of people. I know we can find one at Simpson Springs, but we'll see about Black Rock Canyon. I did find out one thing that may conflict with the weekend we've planned, last night when I was helping out with Young Women's, they announced that the Stake is taking the youth 14 and older to Youth Conference at Snow College that weekend. Will this affect anyone? I'll post more information when we get out to Black Rock this weekend and then we can make a final decision and start planning!! YEAH!!!

I want to go camping with you guys! DH has a scout trip the week after you guys are planning the campout. So if it is close enough, he may be able to come. If not, maybe I could just bring the kids. I am so excited to start camping again!

I have another idea of another place we could go. Its called lodgepole campground it is on the other side of Heber right before you get to Daniels Summit. It is very pretty lots of trees, it is close to Strawberry Resevior so those who wanted to fish could. I am not sure if they allow ATV's up there, but it looks like there could possibly be some trails. It is about a 90 Minute drive from Tooele.

That sounds like fun! I was hoping we would go somewhere with trees. Have you been there before? Can we make a fire? Is it tent friendly???

It's beautiful in that area.....Sorry I haven't been able to get to Black Rock Canyon, the day we were planning on going ended up being horrible weather. But camping in the mountains is great fun.... I'm sure my DH has an ATV map for that area that would outline where ATV's and Motorcycles can go.....Would we need to make reservations, or is it first come first serve?

I have been there. It has been YEARS, but I remember it as a nice place. Seems like there are other campgrounds in the general area as well.

Yeah, I should probably be more proactive in helping to find a time and place. But, honestly, I don't have a lot of ideas or experience. Sorry guys.

I would just be ecstatic to be able to go, when and if we CAN find something.
