Today was the Coyote Ball championship game, and please pardon my braggins, but my son's team won!!! They went into overtime and he scored two baskets (only his second and third of the game) and the other team just didn't make any more, so he won the game for them!! He was soooo thrilled. So although my heart aches for those kids who didn't win, it felt so good to see Jonah pull out his A-game and help his team to victory. He is so cute- we ran to Macey's afterwards and he bought candy for his best friend (who happened to be on the opposing team today) as a "congratulations on a great season" treat.

Woo Hoo! How exciting. Yeah for the boys and yeah for the coaches. Are any of them or their wives on here? Is it yeah or yea? Or do they both mean the same? I am the worst speller ever. Can we get spell check on here? I guess I would need the toolbar (I think that is what it is called) from word perfect. (Yes I still prefer WP. DH tried to get me to move up in the world and just couldn't do it.) It would have to check my spelling and give me other word options so I would know if I was using the correct one.

No, we can't have spell checker However, if you get firefox (web browser) it has automatic spell checking built into it. It's very handy, because like you, I can't hardly spell my own name. IE has some software that you can install that will spell check stuff as well. IE Spell I think it is.

I will have to have Elder look into that. Not only can I not spell, I am very computer illeterate as well. (I spelled that wrong. Didn't I?)

actually, Dia, there are no coaches! It's just kind of an adult-reffed basic-rules street ball that's played in the gym. They did have teams and team captains, but it was up to the kids to come up with plays, etc. Jonah's team worked well together- they were nice and complimentary, even to the girls (who were pretty good, but not as great as the boys), and they didn't get angry at each other- some of the teams' kids screamed insults at each other and stuff, but our team was all very nice kids who worked together to win. I think they deserve the championship, but I am a little biased

Ok that makes since. I guess coaches was the wrong word to use. I just know that there were a couple of male teachers that were volunteering their time. Were they the refs? That is awesome that they could get a long so well. The first time I tried to play volleyball with Elder he hollered at me. I haven't played since. And of course they deserved it. Especially if they did it as a team. How many girls were playing?

yes, the men who volunteered were refs and supervised the scorekeepers. our team had 2 girls on it, but there were a bunch on the other teams too.

That is cool. I don't think I realized that the girls were playing too. That would not be me that is for sure. I'm glad that my DH is just happy with me looking sporty and I don't really have to be sporty. I like wearing ponytails and my workout pants, I'm just not very good at actually playing.
