My favorite day of the year... I honestly couldn't say. I do enjoy Sundays with the family, though. My boys get along really well, and usually on Sunday evening, we all settle in to watch a good documentary or something. Having watched BBC's "Planet Earth" (AMAZING), we've decided that we just might need one of those TV's my DH sells... one day... to increase the enjoyment of time together watching movies. We love that. I think I need some quarterly nights away, too. I LOVE the idea of a couple of hours alone before hubby arrives. That is what I need!!! Some transition time would be fabulous. The few times we've taken off for a night away, it's rush rush rush the kids to my sister's house, rush to the location, try to calm down and slow down and enjoy a real date night, try not to call & check on the kids, etc. and then in the morning, it's rush to pick up the kids (I have real issues about taking advantage of people and don't like leaving my kids in their care because it is so inconvenient sometimes to have other people's kids- especially 4 of them...) And 5D, I do remember you trying to work something out for me last fall, and I really appreciate your efforts, but I just can't leave 4 kids with friends overnight (partially because I'm not sure I would do that favor for someone else!). But I love ya!

I was understanding that our relationship was a friendship and not a co-op. Since when did you have to return the favor to someone who was doing something for you just because they loved you? You better get your definition of "friend" straightened out there girl cause I don't ever want to have this conversation w/ you again. Last edited by 5ft Diva; 06-25-2007 at 07:28 PM.

Hey, woah there girl! I didn't mean YOU in particular, just that I have a hard time accepting a service I don't wanna do myself for anyone else. I know you love me. I know also that you offer service out of pure friendship. I'm learning to be a better receiver, but gimme time!!!!

Ok, that's funny Although, some of us (ME) need 30 some years to learn some stuff, so you impatient ones, just CHILL!

Lady Diva, I need as long as it takes. Time is immaterial. All I have is the NOW, right? I'm just a slower learner than some people, I guess.

Oh, all right. I am being serious about what I said though. I hope I never give you a reason to question my sincerity as your friend. If you can't tell, it's very important to me.

I enjoy it all! As long as it includes the three "F's": Food, Family and Fun!

Haha. I wanted to post a REAL reply in answer to your question, but I can't get past snickering over the quote in Miss Congeniality. "Ms. Rhode Island - What is your idea of the perfect date?" (silence as she ponders, nervously) "Um...that's a tough question...I'd have to say April 25th. It's not too hot, not too cold. All you need is a light jacket." I'm not certain this is my FAVORITE day of the year, but I do agree it's a perfect date!!!

I don't know what my favorite day is, but I LOVE holidays. I get as excited as a child, if not more. I love to make fun decorations with my kids (does anyone remember our giant spider on our house?), or do something else to make it special. I do know that I love spring. It feels like a rebirth, and that everything is clean. I am so happy in the spring. Well, I guess I am usually happy, but even more so in the spring!
