The holidays are just around the corner. What does the rest of the year look like for you? Are you sad to see this year come to a close or are you excited to welcome a new beginning?

I will have a baby before the year is up. My parents will come out to visit and spend Christmas with us in Philly this year. Followed by my daughter turning three four days after Christmas. So, I still have a few things on my list this year. I love this time of year and don't want to wish it away fast; but at the same time I am ready to have my little girl here (mostly). 2009 will be a good year involving my husband graduating podiatric medical school in may followed by a move. The next six months are going to be rather busy for me! I can't believe how fast time is going.

This year has been one of my most trying years...so I am actually looking forward to this year being over and a new one starting. I hope that with the newness of another year things will brighten and 2009 will start off so much better than 2008 started and continued....Not to dampen anyone's spirit here!! Sorry!! There have been many good things this past year and I definitely have learned a lot about myself and my family...but I always love New Years and the hope and expectation that a new year and new beginnings bring!

I guess I am both sad to see 2008 go and excited to welcome 2009, for both good and bad reasons. I'm so excited with the progress DH and I have made when it comes to finances and we are still on schedule to meet all our goal deadlines next month. However, my weight loss goals haven't been as successful. So although it is good to see one huge goal accomplished, it is dissappointed to be reminded of the other one not yet met. I'm excited about some new changes that are taking place in our family. (No I am not pregnant. I still haven't decided if that would be good news or bad. For now I'm done having babies and my new goal this year will be to be ok with that.) The biggest change is having DH released from the Bishopric. I am sure I will miss all the wonderful blessings this calling brought to our family, but am looking forward to having more family time with him. The kids are too. This will be the first year he will get to participate fully in the Nutcracker rehearsals. And thankfully it just happens to be the year we need him the most. We also have made a new goal of finishing our basement in 2009 and paying for it with cash. Another great reason to start a new year. I'm not giving up on my weight loss goals and am excepting a challenge from my WW leader that hopefully will get me moving in the right direction for the next 8 weeks. I'm hoping to get closer to completing that goal, before the year is up.
