Hobbies

I mentioned in my blog that I am looking to find a new hobby in my life. I would like it to preferably involve some type of physical activity. I want to set a goal that I have one night each week to myself and whatever new hobby I find.

The ideas I received from my children were knitting and cooking. (Umm No)

Please share any ideas of hobbies you may have. I would love to hear any thoughts you may have or if anyone wants to join me for some Salsa Dancing. Maybe??? J/K

Actually, I would love to find a good dance class... maybe not salsa... but I think it would be so much fun, and my body would just slim right up! I'm itching for something too. I hope you find something satisfying.

I think it would be fun to take some hip hop classes. I hear their a blast. LnF, I'd love to take some classes w/ you if you're looking for a buddy. Do you know what is being offered? Something I'd love to do one day is tae kwan do or something like that. I was told that they are now offereing the yoga classes at night now from like 9-10. Is that something you're interested in or are you trying to stick to dancing?

Well ladies I am going to look into dance classes in our area and see what might be available. Maybe it is something we could all do together. That would even be more fun if you both could join me. The yoga also sounds nice to try in the evenings. Are they offering that at the church?

Yeah, I'm trying to remember who told me. Anyway, I heard that they're from 9-10 in the evenings too now.

I would be interested in dancing or yoga if I knew I wouldn't have to go by myself. Especially the yoga since the hours would be perfect for me. Late enough for Fubeca to be home from Bishopric stuff and early enough that I haven't gone to bed yet.

You could always buy a Motorcycle and go riding with me when I get a new one

Or better yet, buy one for you man, and let him go riding with me

Actually, and NO you can't quote me on this -- Dancing is a BLAST, and you certainly do get into better shape doing it.

However, for me, I'd prefer a good Swing class. Country Dancing is a LOT of fun -- IMOP anyway.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a swing class. I've never done country dancing, but I think I'd like it. If I could get DH to take a ballroom dance class with me, I'd love that too. I would have to take it without him and hope my partner is a gay fellow so there would be no anxiety about another man's hands on my waist...

Ballroom would be fun, but it's... ballroom, so the ego in me wouldn't allow it. However swing, is very very similar (probably has it's roots in ballroom) and a LOT of fun, + the music is a lot better

Keep us posted on the YOGA! sounds awesome. Night classes would be wonderful. Now...if we could just find somebody to do Kickboxing. THAT is the ultimate weight-melter for me.

I would love to do ANY kind of dance classes with y'all. If you're willing to be seen with me.

(I could give you a reason to laugh the whole time, if nothing else).

I hope I am understanding what you ladies are all saying is that you would love to take a dance class. I am involved with a dance studio in stansberry it it called Dancers Edge they are offering an adult hip hop class on tuesday nights at 8pm I am finding out how much it is still but I have heard that it is fairly inexpensive if any of you are interested let me know and I will give more info when I get it

I'm interested in the cost, too! Hip Hop would be an absolute blast! Tuesdays aren't great for me, but "doable" most weeks.

Would there be room for us all to go? When I say room I'm not talking about my big behind, I am talking about open spaces in the dance class.

Cheaper than WW....sorry Dia and Smed. I like the idea of going to this class; it would feel like I was getting out of town once a week. Does anyone want to carpool. Oooh, I can see that my schedule is starting to fill up, I may have to drop some things because this is something I would love to do w/ all ya'll. I totally need the social interaction!!!!!!! I'm starting to go a little cuckoo in the head
