So, Smed, are you gonna let us know how your vacation was? We sure missed you! I want details. Tell us all about it! Convince BS that he needs to take us there.

OH my goodness we had the time of our lives!!

It was soooo much fun! I want to go back! The weather was so nice, much better then the cold here. I've been freezing since we got back.

We arived at the LB airport at 7:30 in the blessed monday morning! The best thing was that at this perticular airport it's sooooooo small that you literally exit off the plane and down the steps into the outdoors. This has always been a dream of mine. So as I walked down the stairs I waved at all the little folk. Unfortunatly the only little folk that was there was, was 1 airport worker to guide us were to go and he just looked at me strangly!

Once we got to our hotel and got checked in and ate breakfast we headed to DISNEYLAND. We got a 4 day hopper pass to Disneyland and California adventure. Meaning you can go from park to park any time during the 4 days! This was fun.

On Wednesday we spent the whole day, and I litterally mean the whole day at the beach. This was sooo much fun. Before we stopped at the beach though we decieded to stop at the target on the way to get shovels and buckets for our kids to play and make sand castles in the sand. To our surprise California's Season for such things end in August. Silly for us!!! So we improvised. We bought different sizes of tuperwear. for buckets and for shovels we bought measuring cups. I think me, my sister and sister-in-law had more fun with this then the kids did ohhhh well it's an experience to remember. We also rented Buggie Boards to go boarding with. This was soooo much fun. Yet I suck at it! Everyone else got the hang of it but NOT ME!

ON thursday we went back to disneyland and then latter that night we went to California adventure to go TRICK OR TREATING!! YES, we have offically went TRICK or TREATING in CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE. My sister-in-law surprised us all with tickets and costumes for the kids. This was fun. All the kids had Halloween shirts. Most of my kids and her kids are around the same age so Rylie and Kaylee (my niece) wore purple shirts that had Princess written in silver lettering on it. With a silver princes crown to wear. Carson (the only boy old enought that doesn't have someone his age) wore a pirate skull that glowed in the dark. Kenzie and Bree ( my other niece that is Kenzie's age) wore orange shirts with pumpkins on them and a green straw haired wig so they looked like pumpkins. and the 2 babies Noah and Breayden ( my other nephew) had frankinstine t-shirts. This was sooooooo much fun they had the caracters out dressed in costumes and all the rides were open. They also gave everyone a trick or treating bag and had different stations through out the park that you could go trick or treating at and get handfulls of candy. My kids loved this and by 10:30 were so tired that Rylie feel asleep in the stroller.

So that about sums up my vacation. BS and 5D if you ever go just make sure you go out of season or you'll have to wait in 2 hr. lines just to go on 1 ride. We always go out of season so we only have to wait 15-25 minutes in line at the most. Also it's good to have at least one "EARLY MORNING" This is were you can go into some lands 1 hr. before the park opens. We had 2 early mornings since we had a 4 day hopper pass. This is the best time to to to Fantasy land (were all the little kid rides are, like dumbo, peter pan). We didn't even have a line for these rides in the morning. It was great to walk right onto a ride.

This was fun to read. Sounds like a blast, smed. Thanks so much for sharing! I think I would have enjoyed the improvised buckets and shovels too. I love how you waved to all the "little people" as you got off the plane. You are such a riot! I'm so glad you had fun!

I'm a little green with envy, but my turn is coming... just don't tell DH... he isn't totally on board yet. He'll come around, when he sees the kids' faces as we arrive... Sounds like you had a blast, smed- I'm so happy for you!!

I'm so excited for you, BW. That'll be fun for you guys. I can totally understand the whole DH not being on board w/ that kind of stuff. Maybe next time the both of us want to go do something that we know they don't, we go together so they'll at least enjoy being together.
