Default I am thankful for...

In the spirit of gratitude blessing our lives, I wanted to start a thread of thankfulness!

I am thankful for: family, my kidlets, friends, my home, my computer, my new desk, my new high-speed internet, my dh's job and income, my brain and body, my church membership, my Lord, a fridge full of food, a van that runs really well, health and happiness, angels, learning and good books. Yes, especially good books...

the list goes on and on...

Here's hoping this thread will flow more positive energy into the universe and more joy into our lives!!

This is a fantabulous thread!

I'm thankful for the Atonement, a supportive husband, my children, my health, good friends, school to be out, insurance, rain, cool weather, my eye sight, the mountains, Lake Powell, positive people, the list could go on and on. How does one list everything in one sitting?

Thanks BW for getting this started! Thank you for blessing my life today.

I am grateful for a Beautiful wife that loves me despite what I put her through, the atonement, and the chance I have to learn about it and understand it better. Helpful people in this world that are willing to help others in need. Opportunities to grow and learn. 5 wonderful boys, and last but not least my job that allows me the extra joys in this life.

I would have to agree with all the above statements. I have a wonderful husband that I love with all my heart. I am grateful that he is so studious to become a good podiatrist to support our family. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a mother and for my sweet daughter. I am grateful for health and my life in general. I am grateful for my desire to do good and for my church membership. I am also grateful for the atonement because there is no other place I want to be than with my husband for eternity. And I am grateful for our new mini van that runs great and I know will get me to where I need to be. I am grateful for family and airplanes that take me to see them. So, I could go on all day; so those are just a few of the best.

I am back at home No, it is good to be at home but I do miss everyone when I am gone. We were only out there for 2 1/2 weeks this time and it felt really short. We had a lot of people to see in a short amount of time. I would have to say that I definitely prefer the west. I do like the east but if I had to choose it would have to be the west. There are two different beauties between the two. It is much greener out here and more water. But they don't have mountains. I miss the strength of the church. Don't get me wrong the church is strong but we are so few and far between that I wouldn't want to raise my family here. There just wouldn't be enough kids for my kids to date etc. I know it can be done; but having my husband grow up out here we would prefer something different. I highly doubt that we will ever end up in Utah though. Most Mormon boys that go away to school end up coming back to Utah and that makes it hard to find a job that will pay off our student loans; too much saturation. I would like to end up in Idaho or Colorado. Okay so that is so much more than you asked for but there you go. I have a question for you. Is that you in the pictures of the race? That looked like a lot of fun.

Yes, that is me.

I totally know what you're talking about as far as your kids dating out where there's very few members. I graduated from a school where my brother, sister, a handful of mia maids and I were the only members of the church. It was tough. I sure wish I knew then what I know now though. I'd have a totally different experience. I pray for the opportunity to pass on to my kids what I went through and what I gained from it and save them the trouble of finding that out for themselves if they so choose to learn from me. We'll see.

Glad you enjoyed yourself. Vacations are always too long or too short. It's far and few between when they're just right!

I agree that this is a great thread! So much to be thankful for. I'm thankful for my loving, supportive, hardworking husband, for my children and how much they are an example to me, my Savior and his sacrifice for me, for having the gospel in my life, for the opportunity to stay at home with my children, good friends, a house, my husbands job aaaah so much more but I think I'll end it here.

5D-Where did you grow up? I can't imagine being the only or one of few Mormons in my high school. I have a lot of respect for people like you and my husband who had to. It is nice that my husband and I came from two totally different experiences. That way we know we want something more in the middle for our children. Hopefully, our children will learn from what we have gone through. That is so awesome that you ran in that race. How long was it? I have to admit I am really not a runner.
