I'm Ready

I don't know if it's because all of my summer trips are done or if it's because of the weather, but I'm ready for school to start. I'm not necessarily wanting my kids to go to school, but I am okay w/ it happening. Today is just one of those summer days that almost feels like the days your children are in school. Could be nostalgia. Who knows? I'm going to guess it's because this has been a good summer! Anybody else ready?

I don't think I'm ready. I guess that is why I signed up for the last session of swimming. I'm hanging on to those last two full weeks before school.

Things have been so crazy around our house that the summer has just flown by----I feel like summer is just starting now, so I definately am not ready for it to end.

This has been an extremely difficult summer for me- lots of trials... so I'm ready for it to be over. My poor kids haven't had much to do, so they're bored and that makes them bicker. After girls camp is over this week, I will have three weeks to try to find some fun things to cram in before they get back to school. That has to include shoe shopping and getting back to school-time bedtimes, unfortunately. It's all good, though. I will take a huge, deep breath on the 21st of August before launching into life again!!

I'm ready! Luckily our school district starts on the 18th, so we're a tiny bit earlier than you. I asked my kids this week, what they'd like to do with the last 3 weeks of summer, because we've been SO bored here this summer and they wanted SCHOOL ACTIVITIES. Yep...totally ready here! I just need to do the school clothes and supplies shopping.

I've pretty much been ready all summer. My kids have been bickering too. I thought that we would take this summer easy - not try to pack in lessons or classes, etc. like we have in the past. It seems that my summers when I have done that have gone better than this one. We too are trying to pack in some fun stuff before school starts and my kids are really acting better. I think it's the anticipation. We've had night games, a water party, a tea party, a family birthday party and this Friday a friend bday party. They've all been fairly easy planning. I think next summer we'll make more plans again.

The only program with going back to school is that I get so involved and my stress levels raise. Also, I may be getting a job, which I'm not excited about. On the upside - all four will be in school!

eckh!!! A Job. I wish you luck with that. Being the one that has a job, I'd love to not have one -- of course I would still want the $$ to floooooow in
