So two girls for us, hooray!!! We are so excited to be having another girl. Our girls will be almost exactly three years apart. It is so nice that the clothes will be the right size for the right season. Now I just need lots of help with names. With our 2 year old we knew what her name was even before we knew she was a girl. Now we are totally stumped. So any help would be greatly appreciated. We are pretty sure that we are going to use Rae as her middle name so anything that goes with that would be great. Thanks.

oohhh we LOVE naming babies on this site! Someone here said that "refreshingly old fashioned" was in right now so we're seeing a lot of "Ava" and "Emma" and "Isabel" and "Sadie" at the moment. But there are lots of those names that aren't over-used too, like "Charlotte" and "Camille" and "Susan". Is that your style? Or do you want something with historical weight like "Rachel" or "Elizabeth" or "Victoria"? Or maybe you're looking for new and hip... "Kandace" or "Zoe" or "Kayla"? Yep...just loving naming.

All those names are great. Keep 'em coming so we have lots to choose from. As you probably know it is hard to convince the hubby of one so I need a big pool for him to choose from. Thanks again. I am loving this.

OK, don't laugh...no, actually do, lol, because I came up with another couple of lists for you...this time in the "probably not" category: Names from family history (seriously) that should stay there: Mehitable, Grizel, Dorcus, Bertha, Names pasted together from two other names: Margene (Margaret and Eugene), Daneen (Daniel and Darlene), LaFaye (Lawrence and Faye) Feminine versions of their father's name: Allene (Allen), Roberta, Josephina Words that if they weren't what they are would make pretty names: Latrine, Sucretia, Olive Just having fun now...

Of all the names I've read, I like Milan the best. They're all pretty, but I love how that sounds. Anyway, that's my two cents.

I just wanted to say congratulations! Having only boys up until now, I can not tell you now precious little girls are. Mine melts my heart so often that I thank God on a daily basis for sending her to me (us). Don't get me wrong, I love my boys, but they are so ... tough -- little girls are just so ... AWESOME!! Anyway -- congrats.

You guys really know how to come up with some awesome names. I love all the categories. Here are some of the names that we like best.... 1. Hanna Rae 2. Ava Rae or 3. Hinley (this one my husband doesn't really like) It is actually my great grandfather's name but I think it is cute for a girl. We are still not decided on any one name but these are our favorites.

I just came across such a lovely name, I had to share...that baby isn't here yet, right? The name is Eliana. I think it's pronounced "el ee AH na" short "e" to start. And I even thought it went well with "Rae" because it has 3 syllables...say it out loud...doesn't it just roll off the tongue beautifully? Eliana Rae Hanna and Ava are lovely too, of course. I can't say that "Hinley" would be high on my list, but if you like it, it's wonderful.

So have you decided on a name? Of course I love Ava, because we almost used it for our baby. All of the names are cute. When are you due? Good luck!

We have decided. Her name will be Hanna Rae. We are so excited. Thank you for all of the wonderful suggestions. Our daughter Hailey got really attached to the name Hanna and we just couldn't let it go. All day long she says "this is baby Hanna's blanket or clothes" etc She also tells everyone that baby Hanna is in mommy's tummy. We just thought it fit real well in our family. Now we just have to wait until December 15th or sometime around there for her arrival.

Hailey & Hanna...that's really cute! My girls are 2 1/2 years apart and they are such good friends. You'll love having two girls (especially in about 2-3 years when they can actually play together).
