New Get out of Debt Forum

As I know some of you know a thing or two about getting out of debt and I thought you might be interested in a new forum my brother started. The forum is dedicated to getting out of debt and I thought I'd spam the forums and let you all know about it.

I had a chance to skim through a few posts. I was very humbled to see that something we talked about in our class on Tuesday got past on. It's exciting to see the difference I can make. That doesn't happen very often.

I'm for sure going to sign up. Even though DH and I are out of debt (except for our house) we could use the motivation to continue making good choices. Sharing our experiences gives us that motivation.

Thanks Big Sissy. That means a lot. When I volunteered (yes, silly me) to teach with DH, I though it would be really cool to share a little bit of what we had learned to overcome our financial struggles. However, soon after we were called as Ma and Pa on the Stake Trek and it has been taking up so much of our time (that and the basement, yippy) that we didn't have as much time to prepare as we would have liked. I was very thankful to my Heavenly Father for blessing us, because I don't think your sesson could have been any better even with hours and hours of prepatation. It really just does go to prove that if you are giving it every thing you can, all the little holes will be filled in somehow.

Well, I spent 4 solid years working at a bank, and finances was the field I was going to go into before I discovered this computer stuff, so I went into the session wondering what if anything I was going to learn. I was pleasantly surprised to learn a LOT. You and your DH did a very good job on presenting the material, and I think it was really easy to understand.

And yes, thank goodness for the almighty gap filler

The reason why it was so easy to understand is because in all reality I don't know a thing about finances. When we were refinancing, I spent most of my time looking up the meanings of all the big money words that I kept coming across. And then even after I felt like I understood, there was no way I could begin to explain it to someone else. I just know what has worked for us and that we didn't, couldn't and never could do it alone.
