Default parenting book

My sister has been telling me about this book called "Christlike Parenting" that she has read and has really helped her a lot. Erudite's blog entries and thoughts on parenting reminded me- I want to get that book! My DS said it is helpful in learning to parent in ways that parallel how Christ minstered. If any of you have read it, what did you think? My sister LOVED it. She has teenage boys and a 10yo daughter who have been stressing her out for years, but this book has really helped her with strategies and techniques to help them take responsibility, etc.

I also want to get the one that NG referenced a while ago, called "Parenting the Ephraim's Child"... I just don't seem to be getting them yet!

I've heard really good things about that book from my BIL who has had a very difficult time w/ his teenage son. He recommends it to every parent.

I have never heard anything about the book, however, if it will help me with my teenagers I need to get it. My oldest and I are already going through the "oldest daughter syndrome" where she will do the opposite of anything I suggest. Not that she is making wrong choices or anything. I will suggest she wear a certain dress, because it is the one that has been ironed and she will choose another. You know stuff like that.
