Peaches for Canning

Anyone know where I can pick up peaches for canning?

I'm interested in canning a bunch of peaches this year; however, we're still pretty new to the area.

What time of year would I find the best price? And where is the best place to buy?

I'm interested in about 2 bushels, I think. I usually have my mom help me back home-so this will be interesting!

I love canning peaches, too. Unfortunately, peach season has come & gone. The peak time to get them is around the end of August to mid-September. This late in the season, and with the unseasonably cold weather we had a few weeks ago, there would be no peaches left on trees. BUT, apples & pears are ready about now...look for good deals on those!
