I just wanted to give Amy and BW a big, huge, gigantic thank you for helping me wash my windows and blinds today. You guys are the best! You have no idea how much that helped me. A project that should've taken me all day only took me 2 hours. I'm so glad I don't have to dread to that anymore. (And my back thanks you too!!!!!!!!!!!)

Well, of course you're welcome. I wish I could have done more. BS, I really think your floor is going to be okay. DH said it shouldn't affect the dishwasher to pull out linoleum and add laminate. It is a little thicker, but it'll be fine. Good luck!!! I really wish DH could help with stuff, he has a lot of knowledge and experience in home repair stuff, but he just can't. He has to be so careful.

If you need help packing boxes, etc. next week, let me know. I may be able to come back for more.

Thanks, BW. We're done w/ the packing until we sell our house and need to get out of here. I may need help w/ painting when the time comes, but I don't mind doing that part on my own. I just appreciate so much what you guys did yesterday.

Just an update - BS and I called around and asked about the sub floor in the kitchen and found out that it was okay to take the sub flooring out and lay the laminate flooring right over the plywoood. So, guess what we did for FHE last night? All I can say is my boys are amazing. I can't believe how much they are capable of doing! They only got half the floor torn up yesterday and they are so excited to get home after school today to demolish the rest. Hopefully DS #1 will leave something for them to do as that's what he's working on right now. Anyway, that's where we're at and I can't wait til this home improvement project is done. Then we'll be on to painting and I'm sure the boys will be happy to help w/ that one as well.

good to know! I bet your boys loved that. I know mine would- we haven't had a demolition project since they've been old enough to help! It's been years and years. Maybe it's time to do our floor too... add it to the list, huh?

Diva, I was really impressed with your oldest son. He really seems like he is great to have around the house.

Oh, I can't even begin to tell you how helpful he is to have around here. I'm going to miss him next year. He was really helpful before, but this year being home has given him some perspective that he didn't have before that has helped him understand why I need his help so much. (I also don't think it hurts that he's maturing.)
