Default Why your user name?

Hey Everyone,
I was just curious about everyone's user names and why they chose them? Just thought it would be interesting to find out! So.... I guess I'll start with me. I chose teeny because it's been my nickname (from my family) since I was a little kid. I called myself teeny when I was just learning to talk because I couldn't say Christina. There have been others that go along with it as well, such as teeny tunes (cause I sang a lot when i was little) and teen (which both my sisters still call me). Anyway, how 'bout y'all?

I almost went with 'Self Help Queen' because that fits me perfectly, but hubby liked '5ft Diva' better so I stuck with that. The 5ft came because I'm 5ft - original huh? The Diva part came because I was curious one day what a Diva was and I looked it up and really liked the definition/explanation. A friend one day asked me why I decided to go with 'Diva' and I was a bit hesitant after hearing my explanation to her but then realized that I don't care what others think about it and I don't need to justify myself - I just like it.

The explanation was long, I'll share a paragraph of it with you so you can see why I liked it so much.

A Diva understands her past, learned from the past and is not fearful because of her past. She has taken responsibility for the life that she has lived and is living. She looks forward to the future with the quietly assured that what ever happens will be for her best. Her faith is solid and she is able to help others through difficult times. She does not panic when adversity appears, she works on the situation until she finds the answer herself to solve the situation. The Diva lives in the present moment because she understands how precious that "now" is to her. Everyday, she finds magic and miracles in all things and is grateful to her deity for each one. There is joy in all things whether it is a small gift from a friend, an act of kindness from a stranger, a wonderful meal or a flower. She enjoys a good laugh and a smile is the best thing to wear. Laugh lines are a thing of beauty because that means you have enjoyed many times and things. The Diva speaks her mind with confidence. You should never ask for her opinion or advice unless you really what to know what she thinks because she is a straight shooter. She will be honest with you. The Diva is a very private person so there are some parts of her life and heart that are off limits to others in her life.

So there you have it, now you know a little bit more about me....and possibly you, too.

I explained mine in my intro, but erudition means "deep learning by study." I love to learn and study and think things out, so I have long used the word "erudition" in a multitude of ways. "Erudite" is both the adjective form of the word erudition and a person who is generally considered educated and knowledgeable. Since I aspire to that, the name is a natural one for me.

Yes, it is. When others get to know you they'll realize it fits you perfectly!

D5, what an incredibly awesome explanation, you have such true wisdom about yourself! You never cease to amaze me.

Eurdite, since I don't know you personally, I already feel blessed by my association with you here! Your endeavors of being educated and knowledgable are an inspiration to me. Thanks for being you!!!

Teeny, what can I say, you must have been the most beautiful little girl, because you are totally gorgeous now! Your nickname is fun!!

Now why did I pick mine? I love flowers and I see myself as sort of a free spirit. Wildflower just fit the fun loving, caring, and child like person that my soul embraces. I love listening to others and sharing in their life experiences!! I envision my life like a wildflower growing freely in the beauty and joy of each day.

Mine is because I am.

Actually, when setting up the boards, I was going to go with my standard one, however, after much thought, I came to the conclusion that I would be forced (now it's more fun then work) to hang out on a more "womenly" web forum. So I thought, I think I'm funny, and I'm hanging out on a girls forum, that makes me a Big Sissy. And of course, I think I'm funny (whether I am or not is neither here nor there), so I went with it.

I picked Lostnfound because I feel that in my life I am constantly trying to find myself and who I really am at the core of me. Every time I think I have grown in one area I pick apart my weaknesses and bring myself down. It is a yucky cycle I get stuck in and I am working diligently to one day feel complete. Boy this sound kind of dreary. I don't mean to sound so down on myself. Sometimes it is a positive thing to find myself. I think women as they age grow into beautiful women who really know who they are. Not just mothers or wives but just themselves. Anyway I just thought Lostnfound fit me.

I don't think it sounds dreary, just honest. I think a lot of women can really relate to what you're saying. I can relate - it makes the journey feel a lot less lonely when I know that someone else is headed in the same direction as I am for the same reasons. You're awesome, I'm so glad I've gotten to know you better on this forum. I think you have insight that will help many women, including me. After hearing your explanation, it's a perfect fit. Now I know who to turn to when I'm feeling "lost".

For anyone who knows me, my user name is pretty obvious. I love to run! I am extremely passionate about it, and could talk for hours about running (and other things too!). Also, I like to keep myself busy with a variety of things, so I feel like I am constantly running from one thing to the next!

I just wanted the new users to talk about their names and how they chose them. I see some new people around the boards and was just curious.

I think this great to here about why everyone chose there names. Well I chose sunrisegirl, because it seems no matter what I do I am always up early in the morning. I could be on a get away from the kids and for some reason I'm still up early morning. I guess it's also one of my favorite times of day because I can have some peace and quiet to myself and get some stuff done
for myself and get a headstart on the day before everyone else awakes. So there ya go!

I can see that having your biological clock set to the early morning is a blessing and a curse, depending on what the day before was like.

I chose my name because I am crazy and I say "crazy" all the time. K is for my first name. Not too interesting.

Yes, but still unique and we're glad to have you. The name doesn't make you interesting anyway. There is far more to this crazyK then the name would lead us to believe.

I picked PhillyGirl because I am currently living in Philadelphia. Since most of you are in Utah, I thought it would be something to distinguish me by.

Thanks for starting this thread Teeny. I've been curious about everyone's names as well.
When my DS went on his mission, he gave all of us nicknames to call us while e-mailing. He has always called me Mama, and nicknamed me Mamallama. You'll have to ask him for any deeper meaning. (Napolean Dynamite came out just before he went on his mission.....so he probably had "llamas on the brain".) Anyway that's me!

Ah ha. I've been wondering where this mamallama came from. Now it's all making sense.

Anyone seen the movie "Better off Dead"?
I've found parts of this movie highly commical since I first saw it. I was just wanting a user name that would be light hearted and commical, and it came to me.
Though I am not like Charles De Mar in the movie, in any way, I find him funny. There is one way that I guess I can be like him, in that with the way my allergies are being this year so far, I too would like to know where I can score some nasal spray.
