Default kids running

I'm so proud of my two boys, I just have to brag it up a little- Jonah and Adam and I have been going to the track 3x a week starting last week. My ipod and I walk a mile (or is it waddle???) and my boys run a full mile. I can't believe they can just get out there and run! They are so cute, too. They walk a warm-up 1/2 lap (cuz their Mom makes them), do some funny stretches (cuz their Mom can't catch them to show them how to properly stretch) and they take off! They are "in training". This winter, Jonah plans to kick some butt in Jr. Jazz, and Adam just wants to run. Cool, huh? I'm so excited for them! I tried to run one morning, and only got about halfway around the track. I'm not a fan of running, so I'm not too sad. I may try again when my body is used to the idea of exercising.

How fun! You are teaching your kids such a great thing. I look forward to the day when my kids can run with me. I know it won't last long, because they will get faster than me!

That is cool, and those stinking kids can just go and go and go, and it doesn't even bother them. Ahh to be young again.

Good job BW. That sounds like such a fun thing to do with your kiddos and I bet you are just enjoying it so much more because you can share it. Keep up the good work.

You just gave me an idea... I have a little mx track and I think I will start walking it with my boys! They will love that! Anything on that track is fun for them!

As a matter of fact I may make it a family affair!

Everyone in the house has too... OR ELSE!

Cant wait!

sounds cool... except I don't know what an MX track is. I don't live in that world. My hubby is into cycling (Lance Armstrong style), and I'm into sitting on my fanny with a good book , so I know NOTHING about all this MX stuff.

Books are wonderful aren't they! MX and reading are my favorite pasttimes and they are completely different.

Good job on the new exercise schedule. Is it still going well for you?

It's going very well- thanks for asking. Except DS #2 keeps falling apart and staying home- he's kind of a whiner. I think he'll outgrow it soon enough. He's really the runner, too, so I'm surprised. He'll be back tomorrow, I think. DS #1 and I have gone faithfully every other day. We only go MWF right now, but it's more exercise than I'm used to getting! And yes, boys are so much fun.

Like she said MX is motocross and a MX track is a motocross track...

I have one a mile long. 1/3 of it is hilly for jumps and 2/3 of it is trails trough the woods.

We usually ride our bikes on it, pedal bikes and motorcycles.

But the little one cant make it up any of the hills and goes the wrong way while on his pedal bike.

So you gave me the idea to walk or run it with them.

We are going to do it tonight. Cant wait!

I live in Louisiana. We have a several acres and I am the official tractor operator here in our family.

I played in the dirt with the front end loader and came up with the track.

Also it was the safest way to stop kids on motor bikes from crashing into each other.

Sissy has seen helmet cam footage I think.

But it is wonderful, the boys LOVE it.

I duck taped a camera to my head
