Thanks for posting this. I've been meaning to do the same, as I'm dying to hear as well.

So ... how did it go?

The race was great!!! It was so beautiful running through the mountains, along a river and past a waterfall. It was fabulous. I did a lot better than I had even hoped for or expected to, and I am still surprised at how well it went for me. I was hoping to get in, in a little less than 3 hours as that's what it usually takes for me to run 13 miles. I came in at 2 hours and 23 minutes!! Wow!! Talk about a big boost for my spirits. I am so excited. I feel like with a little more training, I really will be able to do the full one in under 6 hours. I didn't want to try and tackle it until I was confident that I could do it under the 6 hours. I think I'm really almost ready.

I ran the whole way, stopping to tie my shoe once.....and walked for 30 seconds through the aid station to gulp down a little water twice and that was it. I am so surprised that I was able to keep it up. I just can't even tell you how happy and surprised I am!!

Thanks for asking

Holy COW!

Do you realize that 13 miles is a LONG way! That's really amazing, and you really need to pay yourself on the back. That's AWESOME.

Job well done and to the next 13miles.
