I was reading an article yesterday about a guy with diabetes who has a health coach to help him keep his blood sugar even. The article talked about how these coaches will be part of the future of medicine. It got me curious so I googled the concept and found quite a bit. I've been down in the dumps a lot lately as the heat has made my fibromyalgia flare up, and I wondered if there was a coach out there for that. There is, of course. I'm toying with at least calling her and setting up a "complimentary consultation" to see how she might help my life. Has anyone else thought about this? Have you ever been to or used a life coach? What did you think of the experience? Was it helpful over the long run?

My sister is a dietitian and I pick her brain a lot. I feel like she's my coach on many levels, but it is very casual. I have loved having her information at my disposal. There are many articles that tell you what you should eat and what you should stay away from, but she is able to explain to me the science behind it which in turn allows me to expand the knowledge she's given me to other foods I eat. E, Becky Crowther is a life coach and I know you consulted w/ her from time to time when you both lived here. What she did for you is very similar to what a life coach would do for you....only it'd be more professional. I don't know if this makes any sense. I have loved my mini sessions and think you'd love the experience as well.

Ok...this was the wrong response. Then I could say "I'll totally support you doing that and be your guinea pig and your first client!" I have 3 people who came to mind when I was thinking who in my life I would trust to be my life coach. My oldest sister would make a fantastic life coach! So would you. You wanted to add 200 hours of schooling to your life, didn't you? With all that spare time you have on your hands....? (being totally facetious here!)
