I think I have Spring Fever because I don't want to do anything. I just want to sit around enjoying the sunlight outside - not tanning, just enjoying outside. Anyway, what do you do to get moving and stay on task when you don't feel like doing anything?

First off, 5ftD...you deserve a break to sit around and relax, especially with your kids off to Grandma and Grandpa's. But for me, I try to plan something fun or for myself as a "reward" for getting something done. For example....I really dislike cleaning bathrooms, but I hate using a dirty bathroom even more so I know it must be done. So as a reward for cleaning the bathroom and as motivation for getting it done I take the next day and do something fun or something I really like to do like sewing, reading, taking the kids someplace like the park or to a friends house. I try to mix things up a little and enjoy these beautiful spring days. I'm also one of those that loves the feeling of having a clean house so I will choose one day each week that is my "cleaning" day and really clean the house so that the rest of the week I don't have to feel guilty if I play a couple of days. I do better if I do it all at once, rather than a little at a time....although there are still some things that have to be done more often than once a week. This may change as my children get older and more active, and as we add to our family, but it's working for now. Hope this helps!!

I find a good reason why it's all right for me to sit and do nothing! Try taking your scriptures out with you. It's always all right to sit outside with your scriptures in your lap!!!

These are both really good suggestions. I appreciate you taking the time to explain this better to me. I don't think I'm a lazy person, I think I need to do what you suggested, Trish, and just relax a little. If I'm not feeling motivated to do something then relaxing is what usually needs to happen. Once I feel relaxed and energized I am ready to go again.
