I have been blessed!

We have had several threads in the past similiar to this. I was just in the mood for another one.

I have been blessed with a wonderful family who is willing to sit with my little children in sacrament meeting so that I can take care of the things that need to be taken care of (such as, nursing the baby, or taking the preschooler to the bathroom, or seperating the boys).

I am blessed with the ward that I live in. My husband and I prayed to move to such an area and our prayers were answered. I truly call many of the members my friends.

I am blessed with a wonderful husband that thinks I am the cat's meow for some crazy reason. I am blessed with three children by birth and three step children. I am always awestruck?? that Heavenly Father needed me to raise these six children. I am so grateful for this responsibility.

I am blessed with the mountains out my back yard. I am blessed with this website to visit daily and chat with you wonderful people.

I'm blessed with a cool, comfortable home, boys who are old enough to tend the younger sibs, and the joy of watching one such sib be baptized this Saturday! I'm also blessed with a husband who keeps going to work every day, even when he'd rather be out on his bike.

Did Ben get baptized? I can't believe he's old enough? I had no idea. Congrats!

This Saturday coming up. Feel free to come by if you want to. He is so excited. We went today and bought him his very own scriptures. He wants an assignment for FHE tonight so he can use them...

My husband is so generous and supportive
My daughter is so awesome!! helps so much with the house and the boys
My home is my DREAM home! And more!

Everything our family has become/overcome together is the most fulfilling experience of a lifetime.

I am so proud of my oldest son for not being a turkey as much anymore (thank you for getting used to your hormones) and he has made some huge changes lately. JJ and I had a challenge from November of last year to go to the gym and whoever loses the most body fat before the end of the school year gets $150 to spend however they like. No nagging! So JJ has lost 5 percent bodyfat since then and is doing great even losing more. He started football practice this last week and he is doing extremely well even though he is not my sporty kind of kid. His effort and courage has gotten him noticed by the coaches and they have told him he will most likely be playing offensive tackle. I am so proud and that is a great position to encourage him to do better.

I also had the opportunity to have a really cool conversation with him yesteday and those things just make my day. I am also so happy because we also shared a rocking out session in the car yesterday after practice. OHHHH life is good when you get along with your teenager. Puts you on cloud nine for quite awhile.

JJ won the money. I have lost weight and body fat but not at the rate the young can. I did it as a motivator for us and I knew I had to make the stakes high because it was a 7 month ordeal. He is on cloud nine. With summer here...he has plenty of pocket change around. Nice for me too.

I hope that I have learned a few things along the way. I am still going through it so if I make it to the other side and he grows up into a responsible adult, I will let you know. He turned 14 yesteday so there are 4 more years until he leaves for college.
