| This BYU forum (a type of devotional) was given at BYU yesterday, Feb. 24, 2009. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] It's 36 minutes long, but positively fascinating, because he discusses the value of charitable giving from a scientific standpoint. Take the time to listen to it. I'd love to hear some responses on it. E |

| Here's one quote that I liked: People say that we... "are "naturally selfish". I hear this constantly..."they're not going to give; people are just selfish." People are selfish, it's true. But they're not naturally selfish. They're UNnaturally selfish. When we are at our best selves, when we are at equilibrium, when we are where we're supposed to be cognitively, neurochemically...we are giving people." |
