What to choose

Have you ever had a day where there are 5 ‘good’ and ‘right’ things that you should and need to do, but they are all scheduled at the exact same time so you can only choose one to do….you can only be in one place at one time. All 5 things are of equal importance. All 5 things are ‘righteous’ things to be done.
You have to choose only 1 thing to go and do, but in doing so you are letting 4 other people or groups of people down, and letting yourself down as well, because you REALLY want to do all 5 things.

Tomorrow is a day like that for me. All 5 choices are good choices, but the agony of letting others down is so hard. It’s much easier when the ‘right’ choice stands out, where the other 4 choices are obviously bad things like ‘breaking a commandment’ or something-----it’s so much easier then, to ‘know’ what the right thing is to do.

Okay writing this all out has helped me conclude what I'm going to do, but it’s going to be a tough day tomorrow all the same!

Yes, Mama I have had days like that. I feel for you. Sometimes I get so frustrated, because no matter how hard I work at simplfying my life the more complicated it gets. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I mean if it is just a matter of me watching one of your children, or picking them up from school, or dropping them off, don't let that stop you from doing one of those other things.

Boy, that is a tough one. Good luck w/ that. Isn't it funny how having options can sometimes be a burden in and of itself. On a certain level I had this experience today. Sometimes I wish someone would just tell me what to do!

Man, I can honestly say I have never had 5 opportunities like you describe on the same day. Come to think of it, never more than 2-3 choices. You must be involved in many things the be that needed. That sounds quite amazing to me, something to be proud of in a way. It does seem challenging, good luck to you

Oh and Mx, thanks for making me sound like superwoman....however it's not so much that I am involved in many things, it was just that several unforseen happenings occurred which changed the priorities of the day....thanks for your kind thoughts!

Good luck with all your many things that are going on today! I hope all goes well! For me I would chose the one that sounds the funniest! But that's me Play comes before pleasure! But then Play is pleasure. so play comes before the things you really have to due. Okey this doesn't make any sence at all. But then that is also my middle name.
