It's a rude awakening. When I first started listening to talk radio a little, I had no idea. Our local news doesn't even report the full story. For example, this stupid stimulus package has all kinds of garbage in it for the environmental movement, teaching sex-ed stuff, etc.-- all these special Obama projects that WON'T stimulate the economy in any way. That isn't getting reported unless you watch Glenn Beck or Hannity or listen to Rush Limbaugh. I'm not saying we should listen to only them, but if all we're getting is the biased-mainstream media slant, we aren't getting fair reporting... watch fox news. It'll blow your mind. Glenn Beck is on at 3:00pm and Hannity's on at 10. I'm just sayin'...

Exactly. Seriously, if you have time, listen to or watch Glenn Beck. You'll learn a lot. He's a Libertarian, I think, and he's very conservative. And p.s. he's LDS... I would watch him regardless, though, because along with all of that, he's honest, intelligent and isn't afraid to ask direct questions. I DVR it and watch it during the evening news. Sometimes he's hilarious, too. But I like that he calls both Reps. and Demos. on the carpet. Limbaugh's been doing that, too, lately. What a mess.

I listen to NPR broadcast on WBUR from Boston University--it is supposedly high-end "unbiased" reporting. Throughout the entire election process (2+ years) there was a definite liberal bias in most of the reports on candidates. The choice of interview questions, soundbites, etc. were always more favorable for Obama as opposed to Clinton, for Democratic nominees as opposed to Republicans, and for McCain & even Huckabee as opposed to Romney. It made me really mad. For people who ONLY got their candidate information from WBUR, how could they not be subtley (or sometimes blatantly) sold on the biases presented? Romney especially got a bad break from the media. Very frustrating. And, I can hardly stand to watch the local newscasts because they are so liberal.
