April 2009 LDS Conference FHEs

Hey everyone? I'd like to start a new thread to create some good FHEs out of the recent conference talks. Would you be interested in helping with the project? to do this, I'd like you RIGHT NOW to pick the talk that really impacted you, especially as it relates to your family (interactions with, things they could learn from, things you should teach them, etc.). If you pick it now while it's still somewhere near the front of your mind, you can wait until you get your Ensign to actually create the lesson.

What I'm thinking is that we each take a talk that we loved and come up with discussion questions or a game or activity or whatever to teach the concepts of the lesson to our families. Then we post what we came up with so that we can all benefit and wahlah, we have a bunch of new FHEs to give. Also, would you add a scripture you felt like was important and at least one song that would go with the topic? If you are so creative as to come up with treats that go with it...cool! (I don't know that I'm that creative.)

So...I'd like to do Elder Hales talk from Saturday morning session. I have two others in mind, but I'll start with that one and not take others if other people want to do them.

We will definitely be discussing Sister Lifferth's talk about respect and reverence. As far as games and activities I haven't given this much thought. Let me think about this. The other talk that really impressed me was Elder Holland's talk. I'll be able to give you FHE ideas when the Ensign comes. I love the idea you have to turn these talks into FHE lessons complete w/ games and activities. That's an idea I've never considered before. Thanks for the booster shot! I need all the help I can get.
