Default Out of the mouths of babes!

Okay, so in our family when we read scriptures, everybody takes turns reading so many verses and then they explain what they read or something new they learned. One of my boys was reading 3 Ne. 2:13-17 and part of it reads:

15 And their curse was taken from them, and their skin became white like unto the Nephites.

16 And their young men and daughters became exceedingly fair, and they were numbered among the Nephites, and were called Nephites. And thus ended the thirteenth year.

His explanation:

The Nephites skin turned white and the brothers and sisters didn't fight in their families anymore. (exceedingly fair)

I thought that was really cute!

That is so cute! I can't wait until our kids are old enough to read.

I noticed that your going on a no children retreat. Where you off to?

We had a great time sleeping in for once!!! To bad it's over

Most of it will be here at our house. My mom is taking my kids over Spring Break. I will have a ton of projects to do during that time but I do want to spend a couple of days getting away from here. I'm still trying to convince hubby of that. My plan is just to plan something and let him know what we're doing. I think that's his only hang-up. He just doesn't know what to do. Pretty easy to solve.

Any suggestions from anyone?

How was your get away Amber?

That sounds good. How long is spring break?

It was great! Honestly we didn't really go anywhere except to get ice cream and dinner. We watched a ton of movies and had plenty of cuddle time

The hotel wasn't that great. We ended up complaining because so many things were broken. They ended up taking $35 off the bill and made sure our 2nd night was better.

I really feel that my husband and I need to do this more often because I really felt closer to him. I forget how strong our bond is until he's the only one around. We will try to do this every 6 months to a year hopefully.

I agree with how time away together is vital for a marriage. We spent a weekend in Logan a few months ago and had a blast. It was a very cheap weekend. We spent a day going to different food manufacturing plants and sampled all of their foods. May sound pretty dorky but we had a blast. There is Pepperidge Farms that has crackers, etc. Also Gossner Cheese and Cox Honey. We also went to the temple. We had a very cheap Hotel, but it was okay, the chance to sleep in is well worth it. I loved the drive together to just talk and not yell over the kids.
