A bit about Stargazer
Hi all! I'm totally new to this whole forum thing (as evidenced by the fact that it took me about 10 tries to register -I truly thought I was more intelligent than that. I know enough computer to check my email, bust out a research paper and peruse the hgtv website.
So, the majority of my time is spent taking care of my 4 children, ages 10, 7, 3 & 3. It's a continual puzzle I'm trying to solve, but despite the ever thrilling roller coaster ride, I wouldn't trade them or motherhood for a thing. I have a tall and extremely handsome husband. That is in fact the first thing that I noticed about him when we met at the tender age of 17 at BYU Marching Band Camp. Yes, I'm a band geek (by the way, that is not what they called us in California) and quite proud of it. I love music - a broad variety, but I have to say my favorite is new age, although Josh Groban's voice truly makes me weak in the knees. I don't actually play an instrument. I twirl. I've twirled a fair variety of equipment (flags, rifles, sabres, etc.) but not a baton. I should mention that my husband does have many great qualities besides being tall dark and handsome.
My interests include flower gardening. I love flowers. I worked at a couple of florists during college and have done a few weddings (including my own) and some funerals too. You can often see me in my front yard begging my flowers to grow. I have tried a vegetable garden. The only problem is that "the prophet said to plant a garden" but he didn't tell us how to get rid of the grasshoppers, so, after to major emotional investments I threw in the towel. I used to really enjoy scrapbooking, but since the twins were born almost 4 years ago I don't think that I've done more than 15 pages. My new interest is interior decorating - spurred on by hours of watching hgtv. I rarely watch anything else. It would be a much more enjoyable hobby if I actually had money to pursue it, but I'll tell you, a cheap can of spray paint can do amazing things.
The other rollercoaster I often ride (besides parenting) is the weight loss rollercoaster. I've been on it a number of times in the past 12 years. Actually my mental weight issues started in high school - oh to be that thin again. Currently I'm standing in line, trying to convince myself to get on and try another ride. |
