Welcome to the Christmas edition of getting to know your friends.

I just got this one email and thought it would be fun here to get to know more about everyone's Christmas Favorites....

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper

2. Real tree or artificial? Artificial but real looking

3. When do you put up the tree? Right after Thanksgiving

4. When do you take the tree down? Sometime after Christmas, but before New Years Day

5. Do you like eggnog? YES

6. Favorite gift received as a child? The desk my mom and dad made for me!

7. Do you have a nativity scene? yes

8. Hardest person to buy for? my husband...aren't they all

9. Easiest person to buy for? my kids....at this age, they aren't that picky!!!

10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? An out of style/out-dated sweater

11. Mail or e-mail Christmas cards? Mail

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Miracle on 34th Street...the newer one with Dylan McDermott

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? The day after Thanksgiving....just not at 4:00 am

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? not that I recall

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Egg Nog and all the yummy treats from neighbors and friends

16. Clear lights or colored on the tree? Clear

17. Favorite Christmas song? O Holy Night

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Stay home

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeers? Of course, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen....AND Rudolph

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Usually a Star

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? In the Morning

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? All the rushing around and commercialism....the focus on Jesus Christ gets lost!

23. What I love most about Christmas? Wonderful memories and family, the peaceful spirit that is in the air!

17. Favorite Christmas song? "My favorite things" Also that fast song that goes "bum ba ba bum" I think its something about Christmas bells ringing, it a symphony song Dang, whats the name of it!?

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Both! One Christmas eve.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? All the rushing around and commercialism....the focus on Jesus Christ gets lost!!!!!!!

23. What I love most about Christmas? Time with family and cold weather!

2. Real tree or artificial? Artificial - preferably the spring bar kind that just pop up - don't we wish!!!!

3. When do you put up the tree? Friday after Thanksgiving baby!

4. When do you take the tree down? Either before the kids go to school or the day they go back to school, although there was one year that I didn't get it taken down until the first week in Feb.

5. Do you like eggnog? No.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? ???

7. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes, but not the one I want.

8. Hardest person to buy for? Husband - because he buys what he wants whenever he wants it and then says he doesn't want anything.

9. Easiest person to buy for? Anybody under the age of 6.

10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? New Kids on the Block cassette tape. I didn't even know who they were.

11. Mail or e-mail Christmas cards? Mail!

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? I think I like them all.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? July

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Not that I remember.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Oranges and grapefruits - yummy!

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Definitely home.

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? I used to have an angel that I got on sale for a killer deal one year, but it accidentally got thrown away. Ever since then I've had a pathetic poinsettia looking thing that is in the shape of a star. Yeah, I'll have to work on that one.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Both!

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? When you go to Wal-mart for eight simple misc. items and the shortest line you can find is 5 people long and they have a new person being trained at the check out stand and you end up waiting in line for 25 minutes at six months pregnant. Yeah, wasn't happy about that one.

23. What I love most about Christmas? I love getting the annual updates from family and friends through their cards and such. This Christmas in particular I've loved planning w/ my family all that we're going to be giving to others anonymously and I love all that is centered on Christ. I love remembering why we even celebrate this season.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? my reeses-like candies which I haven't made yet.

16. Clear lights or colored on the tree? both- I have two trees, one clear and one colored

17. Favorite Christmas song? Still, Still, Still

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Stay home (until my kids are grown- my Dad's going to NY this year and I hope to do that one day...)

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? fatigue

23. What I love most about Christmas? being with my family- reading from Luke with my kids, seeing their excitement on Christmas morning

2. Real tree or artificial? artificial (I have thought that it would be cool to buy a real tree in a pot and plant it after Christmas, but it sounds hard!)

3. When do you put up the tree? After Thanksgiving, whenever I have the energy.

4. When do you take the tree down? Sometime in January--it makes me sad to take it down! When we lived in Salt Lake, we didn't have any storage so we had to keep up our tree year round (there wasn't anywhere to put it). I thought about decorating it for all of the holidays, but I only got around to putting plastic Easter eggs on it.

5. Do you like eggnog? NO

6. Favorite gift received as a child? A big wooden doll house. My mom put the same wallpaper in it that we had in our house, and the same carpet. Now my girls play with it.

7. Do you have a nativity scene? yes

8. Hardest person to buy for? My hubbie--when he wants something he buys it. Plus he is really picky, so he would have to pick out most things and he has expensive taste!

9. Easiest person to buy for? My kids (They are little so it is fun!)

10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? My parents always gave us underwear and socks for Christmas (we also had an outfit or two). And then my dad would tease us and say that he wanted to have a fashion show and we needed to model EVERYTHING! It always embarrassed me. Obviously, my kids don't get socks or underwear for Christmas!

11. Mail or e-mail Christmas cards? Mail

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? I don't have one. I kind of like to see "A Christmas Story" because it is tradition, but it kind of annoys me.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? In the summer. I like to be mostly done by Thanksgiving.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? My homemade fudge!

17. Favorite Christmas song? Silent Night--I also love all of the Christmas hymns

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Stay home (When my kids are older I think it would be cool to go somewhere fun, or go to a 3rd world country and do service)

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? I prefer a star, but we have a bow.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? I don't like the stressful crowds.

23. What I love most about Christmas? Being with my family, remembering what Christmas is about, and seeing how excited my kids are about everything.

Thats a great idea! I dont know how you could get it to re-root itself. Mainly because of the size.

You could cut of a branch and root that in a rooting hormone and do it that way.
