I am a mother of three and I am here because of a certain someone on ATM who told me about the place. I have two boys ages 13 and 5. My only girl is 3 and we are done. You have some great things on here and I am looking forward to posting on a few threads. It is great to finally chat with Diva5 beyond sayign hello at social gatherings.

Welcome Ima, you're a very welcome sight, as I think you'll be one of the excellent contributors. I know you have a lot of information to share, since you are a good researcher, and seem to retain it very well.

Again, welcome and thanks for coming over.

Yeah I have seen it but I have to give him a hard time...because that is what we do to each other all the time. I am jsut not used to him being nice to me. :o

Thanks. Hopefully we can all help each other out with ideas and thoughts. Sometimes looking at things and analyzing things just helps get all of it together in your mind. Input from others is also great.

Oh come on now Ima??? I'm pretty nice to you all the time these days. Early on, yes, I was a MORON, but I think I'm better now aren't I?

Yeah you are nice to me now.

I think we can all be morons at times and I certainly have had my moments too.

Okay, after reading D5's post about what she likes and everything, I have realized that I left a lot out of this post.

Like I mentioned I have three kids and a husband. They are my love and life. Usually all of my activities revolve around them in some way or another.

If I have some alone time I like to ride motocross number one which is a very non-girly hobby and baffles most. There is just something about riding and trying to get it better on the next lap that has hooked me. After that I love to read. Anything and everything pretty much. I scrapbook as well. :because I want my kids to have books that explain how important they are to me as well as having photos. I try to capture them with their special moments when they are not looking but when I see who they are on the inside. After capturing the moment I try to journal about who they are and how special their certain qualities and uniqueness' are. I also try to tke pictures of the things that they feel are important to them. Example... At Christmas I had each of them hold up their favorite ornament and tell me why it was their favorite. I took their picture with it and I am eventually going to write up what they told me. It is amazing what the kids came up with and it wasn't what I though by a long shot. Very interesting way to get to know my kids better and what they think. They are works in progress but someday I may finish what I want to accomplish with these books. I wouldn't say that I could scrapbook all the time but it is an outlet for me.

The biggest part of my life right now is pulling it all together. About three years ago our family was touched with autism/ADHD and it has been a bumpy and crazy journey. It seems like things are just now starting to calm down so I can enjoy the moments with my kids a little better. Our lives have all changed and a trip to the grocery store can bring utter chaos to our world for the rest of the day. However, our middle son is beautiful in his own way and tapping into that source of who he really is is difficult, but a wonderful challenge. I have to be careful though because it comsumes me at times and I become a stressed out wreck! My family and friend can confirm that.

Lately I have become a workout maniac. It is a huge stress relief and I am finding once again my passion for being an active person. I feel like I have been hiding out for three years and the pounds prove it. So I joined a gym and currently am involved in a Body Challenge for ten weeks. I am not dropping a whole lot of weight yet but I have toned and increased my lean muscle for sure. I have also been concentrating on nutrition for the whole family lately and that is also the key to success. My hubby has been really helpful in encouraging me.

It would be great to hear about the other users here.

You're a pretty amazing person. I don't know how you do it all. It's women like you who help me going. Thanks for sharing! Maybe if you could put your MX down for a little while you could teach me a little something about scrapbooking! ;D

I can attest that Ima is an amazing woman, with a LOT on her plate. I honestly don't know how you do it all. I suspect that some things don't get done, but usually you're pretty on top of it.

Yep 5ftD, she's not your typical Girly Girl, but that doesn't mean she's not a Girl still because she's got TONS of scrapbook stuff. She does nice work too.

One thing you didn't mention Ima, you (or maybe Zoo (her husband) is the one that does it ??? ) are into making picture collages as well. They are very cool too. I always enjoy checking them out when I'm down.

Don't short change yourself either, you're pretty amazing too. You do live with 6 boys and you are still sane, AND one of them is ME :o That says something all by its self.

Yeah Big Sissy said it well. We are all amazing in our own ways. Sometimes the day is better than the last and sometimes it isn't. You strive for your personal best each and every day and let all the small stuff go. Nobody is perfect and it may only appear that we all have it together. I guarentee that nobody has it all together yet!
