Default Hi, I'm 5' (foot) Diva!

As you can see by my avatar I have five handsome boys - they're as handsome on the inside as they are on the outside. My family is the most important thing to me - especially my husband. He's pretty awesome!

I enjoy the outdoors but I really HATE wasps (I'm sure it's a phobia - and for good reason) and since they're in high numbers here in Utah during the summer you can usually see me indoors enjoying my central air! I love catching bugs w/ my kids although, I won't catch grasshoppers. They're too gross! I also hate mice - eeek! - with the passion. There is not one cute thing about them.

I have been titled by one of my friends as the "Self Help Queen" - she says I've got a book on everything. I don't know if that's true but I'm having fun building up a library - I hope to one day have a house where I can actually sit and read in my own library - that would be my sanctuary.

If I had to max out a credit card I'd do it at the Deseret Industries. For those of you who are unfamiliar with that name it's similar to the Salvation Army.

I love trying new things. Dining, cooking, baking, hobbies, games, etc. It's a good thing but it's probably why I get so distracted so it's a not-so-good thing as well. I LOVE everything about organizing. I also enjoy decorating although I have no money to do so right now because we want to finish our basement. We are currently drawing up plans for our basement. Once the basement's done maybe I'll be able to put some extra cash towards decorating. Yipee! I also love using power tools so I can't wait to get to work on the basement! :o

Lake Powell is my very, very happy place! My family and I love being there together.

My dream is to one day participate in a triathlon. I feel like if I can do that I can do anything. So (big sigh), I'm going to start training for a 5K to help me along in that process which is why I wanted to start this forum. I need all the support I can get!

Well, that's about it. Can't wait to hear about you!

Isn't it interesting what ones spouse can learn from reading an online forum that he couldn't elsewhere.

It's nice to learn a little something more about you. So thank you for sharing.

Do true. It is amazing all the stuff you find out.

Good luck with the training. Sounds like a a great goal and one that can use a little backup with friends to encourage you.

A friend and I wanted to do something similar to help out some charities. Maybe you will rub off.

So what are you doing with your basement? Remember us crazy Californians do nto have basements so I have no idea what you use them for. Doesn't your hubby work down there? Need details here...sounds so exciting.

It's the same size as the upstairs, but it's completely bare, so we're adding 2 bedrooms, a b-room, an office (;D), and a large family room. Hopefully we'll have it closer to done when you come for Bates Wedding, then we could invite you to stay here.

Hey, now that's a goal 5' diva will like 8)

Hey, I'm thinking that's a great anniversary present!

We would love it if you guys came to stay w/ us. We just gotta get some things in "order" first. The big thing for me about getting the basement done is taking half our stuff and putting it down stairs permanently and really being able to send the boys down there w/ out worrying that they're freezing. Our oldest is desperate for some space of his own, and we don't blame him. It'll happen - I'm a believer!

Dear 5' Diva, I just wanted to say your oldest son has great taste in music. He was on an outing with us the other day and new some really cool songs. Any ten year old who can sing along with "Jimmy Eat World" is really cool to me. He also knew a little country music as well. Very well rounded. I think you have a future American Idol on your hands. Whoever is his musical influence in the household I am very impressed.

Well as much as I'd like to take the credit on this one I'll have to give it to his dad. He's definitely the influence in our home when it comes to listening to pop music. I'll make sure Br knows. Well rounded is right, I love the soft hits from 70's and 80's so my kids know a lot of stuff. We love ABBA and the Carpenters! Yeah, I'm a nerd. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Wow that sounds like it is going to be nice when it is completed. It helps to have more room and especially for a boy who is getting older. I think JJ was 11 when he stopped sharing a room with Jacob.
