Yes, welcome, mxmama. It's good to meet you. This site's only been up and running for a few months but we have fun w/ it here. Hope to see you around more often, if anything to help me understand (from a woman's point of view) why MX is so great. Ima's been helping me understand it but it doesn't hurt to have more insight. Great to have you! See ya 'round the boards!

Hey 5 ft are you woodys wife? I am gonna guess you are since you want to know to goods of mx? You ever got on or rode a bike thats your size? either way, I am not a racer, I ride for fun and for my son. Actually mx has done so much for me, Long story short.... I have some freaking LOCO in laws that have been trying to break up my marriage for 10 years now. If it weren't for me getting on that bike sometimes, they may have succeeded. Its kind of a "get away" with out getting away... make any sense wait I seee your avatar has 5 BOYS.... yep your woodys wife... No one else in the world has 5 boys Last edited by mxmama; 06-24-2007 at 12:36 PM.

I had heard that MX was like therapy but I've never heard of it saving a marriage before. Impressive! Do you ride w/ your hubby or on your own? To answer your question, no I haven't ridden a bike my size. Well maybe, but I hardly call that riding a bike. Last edited by 5ft Diva; 06-25-2007 at 12:28 AM.

I ride with and with out him... he works offshore and is only home 1/2 of the yr. (3 weeks home/3 weeks at work) So when he is home we ride together, go on trips, and camp. When he is at work, I ride a track in my back yard that I made last yr. Its 1 mile long. I am not brave enough to leave the property with my bike with out him YET. Riding is a "get away" from everything. I guess it demands your focus so much it clears your mind. Very therapeutic!! Hey woody get her a bike man, whacha waitn for

Wow! I'm impressed. That's awesome that you've got the track in your back yard THAT YOU MADE. I'm gonna guess you have A LOT of land. My kids would love that....not to mention, so would BS.

Yes he would, he and the boys would LOVE IT! Oh, and she doesn't want a bike. So getting here one would be futile. Maybe one day when we are as rich as you are we can get one

HAHA I wish we were rich I would have had someone else build my track if I were rich. That thing took me a year. I would have an MX trainer here every week too Yup the boys would have a blast down here!!! You guys need to plan a trip and come visit!

Yes riding is like therapy. The focusing and taking all of your mental and physical energy and plain just wearing you out the most that you have been work out before is the key for me to unwind completely and forget the chaos of the world.. I lose more weight at the track in one day than I do at the gym in two weeks. That is how it has helped me.

Well anytime anyone wants to venture this way I can guarantee a good time at my house! The kids would have fun swimming and riding all day We could let all the kids stay in the camper and the grown ups in the house
