Default Who wants to read: Feelings Buried Alive Never Die by Karol Truman

I am going to start reading this book. I would love to have those interested in reading it, read it with me, then we can comment and hopefully learn more about it as we progress through the book.

For those of you that don't know anything about this book let me hopefully explain what it's about in a way that will ... never mind, I'm going to just copy what half.com has about it as it's as good as anything I could come up with.
Quote:
Synopsis
Karol Truman provides a comprehensive and enlightening resource for getting in touch with unresolved feelings which, she explains, can distort not only happiness but also health and well-being. Leaving no emotion unnamed, and in fact listing close to 750 labels for feelings, Truman helps identify problem areas and offers a "script" to help process the feelings, replacing negative feeling with a new, positive outlook. A chapter on the possible emotions below the surface in various physical ailments gives the reader plenty to work with on a deep healing level. FEELINGS BURIED ALIVE NEVER DIE combines a supportive, commonsense, results-oriented approach to a problem that is widespread and that can stop people from living fully.
Anyway, who is interested in reading this with me?

For those that don't have the book you can get it from that Story by macey's for full retail (I did ) or buy it from one of these fine online retailers

Some other stuff of interest that I thought I'd post here just so I can go back and search for them later if I think I want them:

I already have the book so it's really up to you guys to tell me when you can get it.

I'm hoping to start next Monday (not this one, but the 21st). Does that work for everyone?

I'm so happy to have this many jumping on board, I'm very excited to discuss this book.

Oh, and I found that you can get some of the above mentioned flip chart/script page from Karol Truman's web site for less money.

I got the book at Murray Library yesterday. I figure that if I love it, or feel that I'll need to refer to it a lot later, I'll go buy it. This way I can atleast get started.

The 21st sounds good to me!

I feel the need to warn you guys that I'm not the "book club" type. Not that I don't believe in or support group discussion, or deeper thought - I'm just not good at it, personally.

So, I'm sure my thoughts and posts will be random and disorganized. As long as you can put up with that, I think we'll have fun (and hopefully have some good discussions).

I'm all about 'self-help' and 'self-awareness' mumbo jumbo. I truly love it and benefit from it. So, I'm very excited to read this and get everybody's thoughts and interpretations.

Ha ha, I'm not sure any of us have been in a book club... I know I haven't.

Basically, we just read the book chapter by chapter and discuss certain things that touched or stuck out to you. Their are no set rules, you just have to have the book and you have to read it. After that it's up to each of us to post what we thought.

So if the 21st works, lets plan on it.

5ft diva, does that mean we need to get a second copy or at least rent one from the library?

Oh, and one other thing I wanted to mention. Karol Truman is LDS if that makes a difference for anyone. It doesn't for me, but might for some.

I can tell you that buying this particular book is a no brainer. You will not want to give this back. It has a great reference section so you can look up stuff. It's a great book and no I've not even read it, but I've looked up a lot of stuff.

Hi, sissy! As you know, I'm sort of reading this book right now. I read it a year or so ago (my dear friend Carla loaned it to me) and thought it was interesting, but only recently decided I needed to use it in my life. I bought mine on [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and recommend that anyone looking to buy check there or Amazon before paying full price. I also really think people need to read "Remembering Wholeness" as a companion to this (that book changed my life). I've been itching to get "Quantum Healing" too, by Deepak Chopra, who is quoted throughout "Feelings..."

Anyway, I'm really beginning to think this book is what I need. I'm trying very hard to overcome some annoying physical things, and I've been using Karol Truman's techniques. In some areas I feel better, but others still seem to be a bother, so I guess I need to try again.

Okay, BS, that's my 2 cents. I hope everyone who is ready for what this book has to offer gets their hands on it.
