If thought the definition of criticise was beautiful and helpful.
Criticise: to notice the beauties and blemishes
If we can balance our negative with some positives we will find our feelings become much more realistic. Look for the good when we start noticing the bad.

I've been taking a class (that ended tonight) about this very topic. The instructor gave me some insight tonight that I feel captures this thought. We were talking about how we're not honest with others sometimes because we're afraid of hurting their feelings and so in not being honest with them we're not honoring who we are. She said, "Speak your truth while honoring that person as the child of God that they are." For me that thought was huge. Anyway, I just thought it kind of tied in with what you were saying, Joanie.
