CH4 - The Spiritual Gift of Criticism: Finally started...

Hey guys...I've finally started Chapter 4. Is anyone else ready to move forward?

Ok, I finished the chapter, I remember being highly impressed, and then promptly forgot to post anything so now, off the top of my head, I don't have much to say. I did think that it was going to be impossible to do assignment #1 because I just don't have the time during the day. oh...I just had a thought. I really should have taken a card to church yesterday and then I would have been able to sit and focus on the ideas and be able to write as well. Sigh. Well, maybe next week.

Does anyone have good ideas for doing assignment #1 in Chapter 4?

If it really is that hard to keep a record during the day, maybe it would work to take some time at night to write down the ones you remember and do it for a few days since you'll most likely miss some.

Good idea. I have tried at night to think of it, but by the end of the day my thoughts don't stay with me like I should and I think such stupid things as "I didn't criticize anyone today"...uh huh. I just can't remember. I'm going to keep trying though because I can feel that doing so would be an important breakthrough for me!

If I did it on Sunday like you thought you might do, my list would be much longer than other days because I see so many more people than when I'm home alone all day (on weekdays). I think I'll take the challenge and try it this Sunday. I have to admit I'm afraid what I'll find.

I told 5FtDiva the other day that I didn't really think I was criticizing people and she thought that meant I was so good. Actually NOT. I just didn't notice until I prayerfully approached Heavenly Father and asked for His help. Wow! I started noticing all sorts of problems....ask and ye shall receive.
