before and after shots

I thought this would be fun. Anyone who has any before and after shots, put them up!!

Here is what this room looked like 2 years ago or so.



I didn't know what to do with it because its an extra family room. I didn't want another TV in the house and more furniture seemed silly when we have enough places to sit elsewhere.

So here is the finished result.... I built alcoves on each side of the fireplace. I'm pretty proud of my craftsmanship, especially since it was my first time using any kind of power saw!

Nicely done, mx. A billiard room. I bet good times are had by all in that room. I love the seating in the alcoves. Gives it a more comfy feeling, plus it's masculine, so DH, I'm sure enjoys bringing friends in there when he wants to just hang out.

I'm very impressed with the outcome. You were really smart to take pictures so we have a point of reference. My DH would absolutely LOVE a little cozy spot like that, especially with a pool table. What a blast. I don't think he'd ever come up for air (or food).

And the fact that you used Power Tools on your own...WOW!
