New Board!

Hey, we've got a new board and we'd love to hear what you have to say about this subject! Everyone woman loves to decorate....especially when it's inexpensive and looks like you spent a fortune! What's your next project? What do you need to do get it organized and operating? Where's your favorite place to shop for that "just the right look" for your home?

I am such a decorating freak now that we are in a house! We don't have a ton of money so honestly we buy at the DI or online at thrift sites. I am hoping to invest in a log entry way bench and also hardwood floors. My cousin does the floors so he has offered to do it for cheap.

I wish I was brave enough to paint more. When we painted 2 walls red I was in major panic mode. I wanted it to look perfect. I don't think my husband wants me to follow right behind him with the roller again ;D

I am really into boats and birdhouses right now. Hopefully I can find some more boats that aren't to costly.

That makes me laugh about you following your husband around after he's painted. I can totally relate - on a different plane of course but it's all the same in the end.

What are you gonna do w/ birdhouses and boats?

Right now I've got a lot of projects I want to do but I can only afford one so I'm not sure which one to do. I either want to recover a couch, purchase a mirror (not hard as far as work goes but it's expensive) to go over my piano, or to paint my kitchen. My head tells me to save for the basement but a girl just has to do a little decorating every now and then. I'm losing my touch because it's been so long!

Not to mention, I need some change "shock" just to keep me on my toes.

Great idea on this forum. I think it will be a good one.
