Default Painting my Kitchen

The photos I have uploaded are the colors I'm going to use in my kitchen - obviously. The main color will be red with accents of yellow and warm browns. I was thinking Tuscan but I did a little research on styles and I'm more of an Old World stylist so that will influence more colors in the future but red it still is. (My cabinets and cupboards have turned a yellow because of the sun so I have to be careful with any yellows or browns I use in here.) Anyway, the one picture with the two colors on my big wall is what I'm mainly wanting some opinions about. I am thinking about doing about 2/3 of that wall in one color and the top 1/3 in another color. Separating the two with a 1x6-8" board across the length of the wall. I'll stain it a nice rich brown. Or I could do some sort of a color glaze to give the paint some texture. What do you guys think?

I love those colors. In fact those were similar to my wedding colors. We had golden yellow, deep blue & wine red. We used mostly the red and yellow but I tell you the blue sure makes those two colors pop. I think it is because they are far away from each other on the color scale.

I was actually going to color one of my walls yellow along with the two red ones I did. I still may do that... But remember I would have to remove my quote! I don't want to do that so we'll have to be creative.

I think your idea is great. I really don't think you can go wrong with those colors. It's just a matter of how comfortable you are with what your putting and where.

In my opinion??? I love accent walls. I feel like it opens up the room. Not so much of one color or design everywhere. I think that you could even do the biggest wall or area with your most favorite color, probably using red against the cupboards because of the sun fading. Then use the smaller wall or area using yellow. And maybe only put the board on one wall. hmmm....

Those are some great suggestions. I know I'm going to paint but it's easier to stick with that decision when I've been given a vote of confidence. Thanks!

The board would only go on the one wall. I agree, it would probably be too much for all of them - if I understood you correctly.

A friend just suggested that I paint the whole wall yellow and then figure out what to do with it. I thought that was a good suggestion too.
