Amazing Grace

There is a movie called 'Amazing Grace' that BS and I watched probably about 2-3 weeks ago that we loved. If you haven't seen it I would highly recommend it to you and your family (rated PG). It is educational and (we thought) entertaining. The story is about the movement to abolish slavery in England.

I feel there are rarely movies out there anymore that the whole family can enjoy that are good and wholesome and this is one of them, IMO.

Oh Diva, Dh and I saw this on our Christmas get away. I learned so much. I have always loved learning about the human rights movement. My favorite times in American history are during the civil war and the 50's with all the commotion that brought about the end of the segregation laws. It was so amazing to watch an other countries struggle and I could see how what they accomplish in turn helped the movement in America.

Agreed! Do you remember the scene where the main character (I can't even think of his name) was "ambushed" and asked to present the bill to Parliment to end slavery? I just remember sitting there thinking, "I'm so glad that is not my Earthly assignment!" I can't even imagine how overwhelming a task that must've felt like receiving.

Have to second the recommendation, it was a great movie, one that every person should know about.
