Get together?

Hey, now that we're back in UT, I was wondering if some of you want to get together? I really enjoyed visiting with BW, MM, and 5 FT last summer. We can come to Tooele, if that makes it easier. DS will be at scout camp this next week, but after that I'm free any day after noon. Whatdyathink?

Thursday works for me too- we can visit at my house, or if someone has a better suggestion? My yard sucks this year, the grass has mostly died, but there's still the trampoline and sprinklers for the kids...

I'd have a couple of extra kids with me (my nephews are in town). So, if it seems overwhelming - we'll aim for the next visit. But, if it works out - that will be really fun.

NG and E, you are the two coming in from out of town so you need to really speak up here. I'm not sure if you were planning on bringing your kids or if you were wanting to do this w/ just women. Did you want this to be free as possible or are you okay w/ spending around $5-$10? Here's some ideas I had if you want options; I don't care what we do. (E, if we decide to do something w/ just adults, your kids are more than welcome to come hang out at my house.)

Things to do w/ kids:
Sit and chat while the kids run around
Meet at the Pool & chat while the kids swim
Picnic/potluck/pizza at the Park
Games
sit and chat while kids do water activities (i.e., slip-n-slide, water balloons, sprinklers) - I'm happy to offer my yard as well and we have a b-ball hoop, but I know BW has that at her house, too.

Things for just us:
Appetizers/dessert at a restaurant
Matinee or $1.50 show and go out for smoothies after (the $1.50 show requires going into SL)
Games
Sit and chat
Picnic at the park

OK, let's plan for Thurs. I was planning to bring my kids with me. They are bored, bored, bored here at Grandma's house. (All she does is sit around watching the game show network all day. No exaggeration.) I'm fine with spending a little money, but if we'd rather keep it free, that's OK too. I'm really just looking for good conversation and a change of scenery!

Wait a minute, what's the plan? I got home from camp today and I'm so very tired I can't think straight- please tell me what the plan is... if no one is coming here, I won't worry about making it guest-ready at my house.

Okay. Hey, I had offered to host, but last night I started coming down with something- I hope it's not too serious, but I feel crappy- my head feels like there's an inflated balloon trying to escape through my ears... ugh...

So... the odds of my house being guest-ready have decreased dramatically. If you decide to hang at someone's house, it will have to be someone besides mine. Sorry. If I'm feeling better by Thursday, I'll come along, too. I'd love to visit with you, NG!!

SO...I've invited myself & my 3 kids to Tooele at 1:00 on Thurs. I'll leave the rest up to you.

What's the plan, ladies? I don't know Tooele very well, but we're up for just about anything. What do y'all wanna do?

BW -- I hope hope hope you are feeling better soon! I'll be so sad if I come all the way out & can't visit with you. My lil' sis just got over the swine flu. Knocked her out completely for over a week. Here's hoping you just have a little cold or something mild.

Thanks, NG. I am feeling a little better today, but I still don't think I'd better plan on hosting. I will come, though... I have a crazy busy week and I doubt my house will be even tidy. I'm catching up on all the things I put off during camp planning, plus all the post-camp activity stuff... ugh...

We could meet at the pavilion at the Cedarview church, bring a picnic and have the kids bring waterguns, buckets and so forth... isn't there a spigot there? Then the moms can sit in the shade and visit while the kids run around on the grass.

Vote yes or make another suggestion, ladies...

SORRY for not responding. I can't do it on Thursday. My kids have dental appts in the morning and we have company coming in the afternoon. I'll have to catch you next time around. My preference would be an adult girls only kind of thing, but my kids can disappear into a house as well as any one's.
