Since people comment on our blogs, but you wouldn't know it unless you go check, I'm writing this to help you setup an automatic notification when someone leaves a comment on any of your blogs.
Again, this is for ALL blog entries, not just one of them.
- Go to your blog page (the one that lists all the blog entries you've created).
- In the top right corner of your blog is a button that says "Blog Tools" click on it.
- It will show you a drop down list. From that list choose "Subscribe to this blog"
- It will take you to a new page that will allow you to setup how you want to be notified. See option explanations below.
- No email notification: means exactly what it says. If you choose this option, nothing will change. You will still not be notified.
- Instant Notification by email: This means that any time anyone comments on your blog, you will immediately get an email letting you know.
- Daily Updates by email: You will get one email daily that will let you know who commented and on which blog entry.
- Weekly Updates by email: same as daily, only weekly.
- Click submit and you're done.
You can also subscribe to anyone else's blog in the same manner.
Now if you want to be notified when someone replies to a blog entry that is not yours, but is one that you have left a comment on, do the following:
- Go to the specific blog entry that you want to be notified about.
- On the left of the specific blog, you will see a button that says "Entry Tools"
- Click on it and choose "Subscribe to This Entry"
- It will take you to the same page mentioned above, with the same options. Pick the one you want and submit and you're all set.
Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.
