| I thought that this might be an appropriate place to invite someone to teach me how to do more - like post pictures and such. So someday does someone want to help me out? I'm not in a big rush, but I know you are all dying to see my pics |

| Just let me know what questions you have and I can certainly help. Maybe next time you are over we could spend some time trying stuff out. |

| Can someone explain to me how to put a partial quote from another member's post into your own post? I still can't figure it out. I am a very visual person, so if I still can't understand after a written explanation, can someone come over and show me....or can I go over to your place and have you show me how? |

Actually, I'll go over it all. To quote someone else's post, you find the post they made that you want to quote, then near the bottom right corner is a line of different buttons (each post has this same line of buttons) -- ![]() The first one is how you submit a post as a Quote type Quote (the ones you see on the portal). The 2nd one is how you edit your post The 3rd is what you click on if you want to quote someone (like I did with your post). The 4th is used if you want to quote multiple posts in one post (you click that button on each post you want to quote (it turns red once you click on it) then you scroll to the bottom where you'll find on the left side click it and you'll now have a new post with all the posts you clicked on in it.They will be separated by spaces so you should pretty easily be able to see each of them. The 5th is used to enable the Quick Reply window at the bottom. Ok, now to how do you only quote part of what they said. The process is the same as quoting all of what they said, but once you click the button you simply edit/delete the parts of the quote you don't want to quote. You have to take special care to NOT delete the code at the beginning and ending. That would be the [ quote=... ] and the [ / quote] (spaces added so you can see it) as that is what makes it in that little box. Remove that part and you get a jumbled mess. So you can remove anything that is between those two "Quote" code sections. |
