I'm Baaaaaaaaack!

Back in UT, that is....or, at least I will be back in July. It's official--DH was successful in getting a new position with Zions Bank HQ in SLC!!! He's looking forward to being back in the corporate offices there, and I'm looking forward to being back with family, friends, and a generally friendly population. (I also won't mind the more modest summer styles...you see a lot more of a person than you really want to out here during the summer!) I will miss my friends here, and also the amazing opportunities that exist in this part of the country.

We're renting out our home in Bountiful right now, and the tenant's lease isn't up until then end of July. We'll be staying with my in-laws (!!!) for a month or so. If it works out for us to keep our home as a rental and buy another home we'll do that (low interest rates & high foreclosure rates make it a good time to buy)...otherwise, we'll move back into our home in August. It will be a crazy crazy crazy summer, but we hope to be settled before school starts. Can't wait to see you all soon (those few that I've met). I'm sure I'll be looking for outings so my sanity remains intact while we're staying with relatives!

Buy a home out here! Stansbury Park is very nice- that's where I wish we could move to... Regardless of where you live (even with the in-laws) I'm excited you're coming back! Hooray!! We'll have to have another madrigals reunion when you get settled-- and get together this summer/fall- good for you!!

YAY NG! That's wonderful. I thought you meant you were just planning a visit, but relocating is GREAT. I can't remember what your time-line was for getting back here. Seems like you thought it would be longer?

Anyway, how wonderful.

We will definitely have to get together and celebrate.

I also vouch for Stansbury Park, or even Tooele. You'd be surprised how easy the commute really is! Especially if HQ are in downtown Salt Lake.

Bountiful is nice, though, I'm sure! The commute is just a tad busier.

We are feeling more overwhelmed than excited right now, but I'm sure things will be much better in a few months. (It doesn't help that the in-laws were here for a week--they just left Friday afternoon. They are kind & generous, but I'm not looking forward to living with them...we are very private people, and sharing space is difficult.)

Bountiful is ideal if you work downtown. It's a 15 min. commute & you don't even have to get on I-15. There is also a bus that comes 2 blocks from our house. We'd like to stay in Bountiful, if possible. The only drawback is that it is too close to family....
