Well, there's already someone coming at noon on Monday and I know the more the merrier. I guess I should have told all of you that the reason I'm needing to ask for help is because my back prevents me from doing very much, i.e, I cleaned half the garage on Thursday and paid for it for three days so I ended up paying one of my sons to finish the job (and it was worth every penny!) Anyway, my hopes are to get lots packed and out of the way so that when you guys come we can just do the work I really can't do. I'll let you know how that really works out, though. Thanks again for all of your help you guys!!!

Well, I was thinking last week that I would come, but didn't get a chance to mention it, and then we've been slammed with sickness here (thus accounting for my absence on the board of late). I can't possibly come until next week, but I'd already been thinking about Monday or Wednesday during the school day. I've been saving a few boxes for you too. I'll call you to set that up soon!!

Way to go for unsticking yourself!

It was very hard to hear it and I was starting to feel alone because I was excited and everyone else was saying (are you nuts???). THANK YOU!!! Really, it means more than you'll ever know.
You are welcome, Diva! It is a lot of work, but it's mostly purging, organizing and boxing- my favorite type of cleaning!!! You are not nuts- staying put in that house with 6 kids would be more nuts, in my opinion.

As far as Monday, that sounds great! I'll plan on that. Thank you.
I'll be there!!

And Dia, I'm not sure if you're talking to me or to BW about babysitting, but I think I'll be okay because my DH is home.I think she was talking to you.
I can probably stick around until 2:30 or 3:00... can we count on BS to be helpful, or will he be working for work??

I just finished reading the rest of the posts (I thought I had already, but I missed a page.). Since other people are going on Monday, I will help that day too! Sounds fun!

I was just saying I was willing to babysit for anyone. Anyone who wants to come help you, can drop their kids off at my house.

Otherwise, you can always borrow my carpet cleaner, if you need it and I could come in the evening after DH gets home. I would even run the machine for you after everything else is done to get your carpets all done up.

We've never had our carpets cleaned since we moved here and so we're thinking we need to go w/ a professional (the truck mounted ones that can really suck up ALL the dirt we have). What do you think? Is that silly?

No not silly. I can understand that.

My steamer does a really good job. Usually I go over it once with shampoo, then a second time with just hot water, and I go over several times just sucking each time. I can never get all the dirt out. Each time I go over it whether it is the 1st or the 4th I still suck out a lot of dirt. But it does look a lot better when I'm done.

Just keep it in mind if you want to try it and save a little money.

This has not been answered and I'm not sure why, but we love Tooele, and won't be leaving Tooele. In fact, I doubt we'll leave the Stake. Ward yes (just not any large houses for sale in our neighborhood), but we'll be close. We want the boys to go to the same school, so hopefully just a couple of blocks in some direction.

Also, THANK YOU!

I thought I did answer that, sorry.

And thanks, Dia, for your generosity. It's appreciated.

CRAZY!!! There's lots of people in the ward trying to sell now. So, why haven't you called me Diva??? You know I could help you with your back!! You've helped me in the past, so even if you might feel bad for asking for help, you shouldn't!!! I don't know how easy it will be for me to come help clean, cause I'd have to get a babysitter, but I would be more than happy to work on your back for you, (for free!). Just call me and set up a time with me, and if you don't call me, I'll corner you at church on Sunday to set up a time! Good luck with the selling. I'm starting to get pretty frustrated about our house.

Thanks for the offer. I didn't even think of going to a massage therapist. You're awesome! That would be great. What do you do for pregnant women who are having back problems? Is there a specific type of "treatment"?

Well, I just find the muscles that are tight and try to work them out. Do you have low back pain, or upper back? And do you have sciatica (pain in your butt and down your leg)? Because your preggo, when I work on you I'll have you lie on your side and use pillows and such to cushion your tummy, legs, and one for your head. I wish I had real pre-natal cushions! You can buy them and then it works so that the pregnant woman can lie on her stomach because there's a hole for your tummy. It's SOOO comfortable when you're pregnant. So, sorry that I don't have those..... Another thing to think about is chiropractic work. When I was pregnant with my daughter I had REALLY bad sciatic pain. I started going to a chiropractor and it really helped a lot! I think that a lot of pregnant women's back problems has to do with your hips and pelvis shifting to take the new weight being put on it.

Oh, yes, a massage might be just the thing! My SIL does massage therapy, and it can help with all kinds of things. I think that's a great idea! Where does your back pain you? Upper, lower, middle?

It's lower. Is sciatic pain in your pain and hips?

My back hurts a lot when I do anything that requires the strength of my back and so that includes bending over. I was bending over today taping up a box and putting clothes in the box and I couldn't do much more. It's so painful.

Teeny, how often do you suggest working on pregnant women's backs? Is it a one time thing or is it like so many visits should do it, or what? Just curious. I have loved all the info I'm getting on this forum today! Exciting stuff.
