I don't think this could be your problem, Diva, but I felt inspired to add: Sometimes when woman have lower back pain when pregnant it could be because the kidney is not draining properly. I find this out with my last full term pregnancy during an ultrasound. She asked me if I was having low back pain and I said yes. She said she wasn't surprised. She told me if I had a choice to sit, stand or lie down, to always lie down specifically on my left side. It was amazing how much better I felt and I started peeing on a regular basis. With my last pregnancy I was already having problems and I found that if I lied down whenever I could whether it was while I was reading to my children, or watching a movie, or playing a game, that I always felt better after an hour or so and then could pee. Sitting is the worst thing you can do. If you can't lie down then you should stand. And it can be agravated with lifting and such. Dia

Massage is very individual. It just depends upon the condition your back is in, and how much massage ends up helping it. If I had my way, I would have a massage once a week for the rest of my life! Maybe when we're rich and famous I will ! So, for sure it's not just a one time thing because one time is not going to cure everything. With every new stress to the body and mind comes more bodily aches and pains, so it's more of an acute/ongoing help to the problems of life that affect your body.

Oh, and yeah! Like Big Sissy says, call me and get over here! Evenings after 8pm are best for me cause my kids are in bed, and my hubby will be working late pretty much every night this week (except Thanksgiving of course) so he's not much help in the babysitting department. I could give you a massage tonight, tomorrow night, or probably Friday night (I'd have to double check about Friday), so let me know what works for you.

Are you serious? Of all those choices, tonight is the best. We'll do FHE early tonight so this works. Do I need to bring anything? You are the best, Teeny!!!!! I guess I should find out if DH has a problem w/ this. BS???

Yeah I'm serious! Plus, my DH has been working endless hours lately so I wouldn't mind some company, so you'll be doing me a favor as well.

Oh, you know I just realized that it would help me out if you could bring a couple of pillows. If you had a body pillow that would work great too.

Dia brought up a good point- I don't remember why or where I read it, but I remember knowing laying on the left side was best when pregnant, and I always slept better on that side. In fact, I'm still most comfortable on my left side now, even though it's been over 5 years since I was pregnant last. Weird. Anyway, I know I read somewhere that it helps with digestion, circulation, or something important, so I did it, and it helped with some discomfort.

THANK YOU TEENY!!! I really appreciate you taking the time to take care of the Most important woman in my life.... How's it go -- If mama ain't happy, no one's happy. If she's unhappy long enough you'll be unhappy with half your stuff I don't want that

Oh, wow! Thank you Teeny! I just got back from my massage and I was able to walk into my house w/o hobbling. That is huge. I know I was hobbling a little bit right after, but I think that had more to do w/ just getting done. BTW everybody, if you're wanting to have Teeny work on you, she gives you pain - and yet it feels soooo good. There were times when I was hurting so bad on places she'd work on me and she was like, "Okay, good, that's normal," and she'd keep going. Dia, I'm sure you'll find this interesting, right when Teeny started working on me I could feel all the junk inside me shifting. She's gotten it loosened up in there so tomorrow is going to be a detox day for sure! I plan on drinking lots and lots and lots of water. I could tell there was a lot of junk. Thanks again, Teeny. You're the best.

It is funny that you would mention that Diva, because I have heard that getting massages is a good way to detox. In fact, if you are getting a deep tissue massage you really should drink lots of water before and after, because when the body releases all those toxins they can make you sick if you don't get them flushed out. Maybe Teeny can confirm. Dia
